4th-gen Worldwide Support Infrastructure
The first thing we would like to talk about is the release of the Nijiiro ver. firmware to overseas (outside Japan), starting from greater Asia from Spring 2021. While we still do NOT have a concrete schedule for the release, the March 25 update has some infrastructural changes that tap into this exciting development.
For those who don't know, the greater-Asia version of the 3rd-generation arcade Taiko no Tatsujin (Momoiro through Green) is technically a completely separate game from the Japan version; Donder profiles created on a greater-Asia cabinet cannot be accessed on Japanese cabinets and vice versa. That separation will soon become no more: after the March 25 update, Japanese Donder playing on an overseas Nijiiro ver. cabinet will be able to access their Donder profile as normal.
In addition, the Donder Hiroba will also add the Worldwide Ranking (ＷＷランキング) function, pitching scores of both Japanese and greater-Asian Donders together to find out the top achievers.
The imminent advent of the overseas 4th-generation firmware also affects the usual YouTube previews of new Namco Original tracks: the video now also shows the English title, and the video description has added info in English, traditional Chinese and Korean.

Don Medal Shop Season Change
With this update, the Don Medal Shop also moves forward in the quarterly cycle to the Spring 2021 season. As your Winter 2020 Don Medal total resets on March 25, the shop lineup will also change to the last four Faith Creation contest winners:

While the 4th-generation arcade build has stopped the tradition of pushing color-coded major version revamps, the trials in the Ranking Dojo (段位道場) mode will continue to see regular updates to keep up with the times.
The 2020 trials will only be playable until 2021/03/24, after which the Ranking Dojo mode will go into a small hiatus until the 2021 trials are ready for release. Like in the past, Donders will receive title parts according to the highest trial cleared in the Ranking Dojo, but that is not granted immediately with this update.
Other Changes
Back at the release of Nijiiro ver., the Variety (バラエティ) and Game Music (ゲームミュージック) genres were combined into the singular "Game & Variety" (ゲーム&バラエティ). Apparently, the Taiko Team feels the merger not working as great as they want, so the March 25 update will separate them once again.
Nothing much else is changed outside of the above: all records of Nijiiro ver. gameplay will be maintained, and the AI Battle Performance mode will continue to be playable.
