Right on cue, yestrday it was the turn of the second Ranking Dojo 2026's remixed contender to get the full-reveal+impressions treatment, this time by the hands of HARDCORE TANO°C-affiliated composer Laur. Indeed, the man behind GIGALODOON among many was up to the task of remixing Seifuumeigetsu's Nosferatu!
In the most straightforward way possible, Laur wanted to express his own style via this remix, hence the choice to walk the full-instrumental route on the newly-released Vrykolakas. If you happen to have a game center at arm's reach, be like Laur and secure your launch-day FC bragging rights!

Song of the Week! 22 August 2026
Indeed, this happened at long last. With yesterday's tweet on the just-released Weekend Warrior, the official Taiko Team crew is hogging a bit of the familiar Song of the Week spotlight, not only with a Saturday song release on arcade grounds, but with an accompaning written trivia piece on the song's whereabouts (from its remixing author, no less)!
It's not going to be an easy feat to match the effort, so how about this: I'll try coming up with a "sister feature" of sorts to link the just-released, just-analized song to something even-slightly-tangentially-related things about either the original, the remix or both

After last Saturday's reveal, the foreshadowed Ranking Dojo original remixes are getting an early debut as Weekend Warriors each, with an accompaning slide with the remixing author's thoughts like we've seen in past like broadcasts from the Taiko Team. It also appears we're back at having music remixes with their own unique title on toe!
Tackling USAO's recently-extended SUPERNOVA is Morimori Atsushi, already author of the Chojin-course-darling CUT! into the FUTURE. It's also interesting to see the inner-working on music implementation, since Morimori novers to be told for the longest time that due to scheduling convenience in the latest years, there were periods of time in which no new music submissions were accepted. That is, until the project of Namco Original remixes is brought on the table for this year's Ranking Dojo, which got the Seiga Kaku enthusiast welcomed back with open arms as one of the featured artists!
This goes without saying, but expect the resulting HYPERNOVA to drop on Nijiiro cabs tomorrow!

Song of the Week! 1 August 2026
Today, about 150 original songs across the more modern Taiko no Tatsujin arcade generations have been simultaneously released on several music streaming servers in three separate collections, as we've also reported earlier today on our own X page.
Most of the tracks on display hail from the 3rd-generations and have already seen an OST physical release via 2018's eight-sountrack project published by City Connection, with a small handful of tunes making their first outing this way. Meet one of those today!

- Farewell Tracks will disappear from playlist(s) if previously set
- If a Farewell Track is set as My Battle Track in online modes, the slot will be reverted to the default (Natsu Matsuri)
- Titles obtained from playing Farewell Tracks (e.g. "(track) Lover" from playing the track 30 times) will still be usable even after removal.
