Day 1 - 12 Days of Taikomas

Hi there! As previously announced, today we begin our road to Christmas 2021 with a new take on the Wish List side-feature from past years on Song of the Week. Have a daily gander at what people from our affiliated Discord server might see fit as Taiko no Tatsujin song material with a brief song description to boot!

Without further ado, let's start anew. *A-hem*...
On the first day of Christmas, gairone has sent to me:
Linda AI-CUE under the tree.

Aberration Linda AI-CUE / Ridge Racer 3D

Home advantage is the show opener, as we got people that are eager to hear more from Ridge Racer 3D's overall score, aside from Rio Hamamoto's Venomous and Angel Halo gracing the series many years ago! Given that a new original from this composer is coming out next week, this is also quite the timely window to spare some words about it!

What you're hearing up here is the sole contribution of Asahiko 'Linda AI-CUE' Ishikawa (石川哲彦) to the latest Nintendo entry in Bandai Namco's long-running racing series, one to host both former and current BanNam-affiliated musicians into one labor-of-love soundtrack, from SuperSweep's Sampling Masters (AYA and Mega) to Taku Inoue, from Hiroshi Okubo (Angel Dream songs, among many) to Keiichi Okabe and Ryo Watanabe!

Ridge Racer 3D's score officially got released through the same SuperSweep label as RIDGE RACER 3D direct audio (リッジレーサー 3D ダイレクト・オーディオ), launching on May 9th in 2011 as part of the album lineup for the Spring edition of the bi-annual Music Media-Mix Market doujin convention (or M3, for short). Linda AI-CUE's Aberration was also one of the 8 tracks to be featured in the album's elusive bonus disc, included with every purchase of the same album via SuperSweep-endorsed channels such as select retailers and the label's own web store and event shops.
