The title system was introduced by a firmware update, and gives players with access to Banapassports nicknames to put beside their usernames while they play, as a mark of their in-game achievements, much like in other rhythm games with user profiles. The titles can be interchanged in Donder Hiroba when you have obtained them, and the one currently selected will display on the arcade screen wherever the player name is. Some titles unlock hidden content like songs and costumes.

List of titles in Taiko no Tatsujin
Note: Taiko no Tatsujin refers to Taiko 0, the HD arcade released in 2011, and not the entire series of games.
It is possible to get more than one title in a go by overlapping the conditions for unlocking them. In addition, for newer players, Don Points (DP) will also be given out for titles they get.

Taiko no Tatsujin (July 2012 Update) song list
With the same name as the version released a year ago, this is a massive update for Taiko no Tatsujin (2011) which is unlike any other software patch Namco have released for it so far. It is the 2nd cabinet revision for Taiko 0 with completely new features, the most notable of them being a small camera mounted on the top of the arcade screen! This allows for some fun picture moments before the actual game begins, much like several other arcade games Namco have made before. (Mario Kart GP and Tank! Tank! Tank! for example). The firmware version starts from 0.12 (5.00 if the demo is counted) and is a continuation of the previous line of firmware updates.
This update is not just to the firmware of the arcade cabinet itself; there are also changes to the online infrastructure set up last year. Donder Hiroba gets a makeover and has more new exciting features like an expanded friends list, more costumes, a title system introduced via patch to the previous Taiko arcade which is also expanded on, tournament participation and score records, and a reset of the Don Point system to zero, meaning a whole new set of unlockable gifts. All old Don Point unlockable songs are now available to play by default, meaning anyone without Banapassports finally have access to them.
The old gifts remain for Banapassport holders and can be unlocked by other means for new players, however players without the passport will still be unable to play the secret songs from the old version. A monthly set of achievements are set, called Don Chare (ドンチャレ, short for Don Challenge) and this is yet another one of Namco's many different ways for players to unlock new stuff on this arcade Taiko. Scores obtained on the last version are deleted prior to this update, and more adjustments to gameplay and difficulty ratings are promised.
Contains all songs from the previous version while adding even more, this is the first Taiko version to break 200 songs on its songlist from the first day onwards.

(Informal post) We welcome our new god song
Hi guys, Zekira G. Drake here.
No, this is not YMMV. Take my word for it, this things is potentially the hardest chart in the entire series right now.

Custom map: Programmed Universe
Our feature yesterday covered three maps from three different contributors....but we missed one! Again, apologies to Packer Woo, who sent his creation up to our Facebook page a week ago but wasn't on yesterday's post.
Programmed Universe is a dubstep song by kors k, from Dance Dance Revolution. And so this trolltastic chart was made!

Fanmade .ac song and a few other things
It's not difficult getting the right tools to make one of these since Numujika and Arumujika are basically synthesized music (okay maybe it is for the uninformed), but it's even more difficult to sit down and think of what to compose. Our regular contributor jylee18 has done just that. His fanmade .ac song is a strange title 'mimip~ac~uu'. It's a reference to the name of one of Malaysia's prominent Taiko players and this song and chart is a dedication to him. How nice!
You can download the Taikojiro chart from the description.
Another Taikojiro chart by 何文旗 (Youtube name KEE200), called Canon (SDO version) with more than a nod to some of Taiko's more recent vicious streams like the one in Senpuu no Mai.
Yusri Khairi continues his chart-making, one of them being an alternate chart for the Taiko cut of Go-Go Tamagotchi, which was a 7* Oni song with 365 notes. Not anymore!
