Something meatier than new collaboration news (because oh yeah, we got some more of those for this month!) awaits the upcoming Nijiiro Version update, rolling in Japan on October 21st and the day after (October 22nd) in the rest of the non-Mainland China world.
See you after the jump!
First things first, we're bound to get some more gacha-fueled collaboration antics, the likes of which are nearly as old as seasoned-campaign-contributor Puzzle and Dragons! Mixi's Monster Strike is landing in worldwide Taiko cabs with a couple of playable medleys of their songs, with Japan getting first dibs on the update day and the rest of the world at a (still unspecified) later date.
Exclusive to Japan, however, are a couple of events to go along with the new songs, starring a Banapassport tickets campaign to snag the collaboration Petit Charas of Neo and Arsene by playing the Monster Strike Medleys in your credits (max 1 ticket per credit, price of 3 tickets per character via Donder Hiroba) and a raffle to get either of the character as keychains! See the minisite at the bottom of this post to learn more about it.
As revealed a few days ago on Twitter, this year's Touhou Project collaboration campaign is rolling worldwide from the day after the JP update (see our coverage for a more deatiled lookout on it).
Also relevant for worldwide Donders is the final step of this year's original music contest, which will have Banapassport players to cast up to 5 votes across Phase 1's most voted songs among the non-winning entries. The lineup will stay a mystery up until Phase 2's beginning, also on October 22nd!
We end with a due-diligence on the latest round of Nijiiro Version song removals, effective in about a month from the update day.
