[AC-Event] - Hakurei Shrine Autumn Reitasai '19, the Full Reveal

It's almost that time of the year again, where arcade music gaming and the Touhou Project doujin following intertwine in the yearly Hakurei Shrine Autumn Reitaisai convention, this time around scheduled to run on October 6th.

Today, we got the usual notice of which external software houses (and related games) will come by. Will Taiko be part of the roster, this time around?

Next-gen World Hobby Fair '19 Summer Postcards

We were going to keep it light on the reports from the Next-gen World Hobby Fair '19 Summer this weekend, given that the exhibiting cabinets will be set to only feature the AI Battle Performance mode (which is already publicly available). But then this happened.

In brief, event goers has found this following song in the Anime genre that is not available in public cabinets. Being only available in the exhibition floors, there is obviously no video for it, so we will only work off the snapshots of the song selection and result screens.

Namco Taiko Blog (June 20 2019): Future Drumming, VR Drumming, La-la-la

Recommended music for this post's title: Future Lab

The June 27 update to Green ver. (featuring rival AI technology from the year 2765) is not the only futuristic development we have. Now behold Taiko no Tatsujin VR da-don! (太鼓の達人 VRだドン!)

Coming soon as a VR Acitivity for the Bandai Namco-operated VR ZONE OSAKA in Umeda, Osaka (added July 20 2019) and the all-new MAZARIA in Ikebukuro, Tokyo (opens July 12 2019), you will be able to play Taiko no Tatsujin in a virtual reality setting as the name suggests.

Although graduated from her Taiko Sister role, the beloved Daifuku returns to Taiko no Tatsujin scene being the person-in-charge for the project, making her the perfect person to write today's Namco Taiko Blog post. Details will come after this jump.

The Wild, Wild Green* Jungle That is JAEPO 2019

Being two weeks away from the annual happening of one of the largest arcade/amusement machine expo that is JAEPO 2019 on January 25-27, it is time to round up news regarding the much-anticipated upcoming firmware update of Green ver.!

...except there isn't. The latest announcement from Bandai Namco Amusement (arcade arm of BNEI) of their JAEPO 2019 line-up has Taiko no Tatsujin Green ver. stashed away in the "Other Exhibiting Games" list, deep under the key features of this year like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure arcade game and the Sword Art Online arcade game.

Excerpt from press release (via 4Gamer)

Well at least Green ver. is actually exhibiting, and there is also Tenkaichi Otogesai 5 Finals to look forward to.

Namco Taiko Blog (February 2 2018): Blue ver. First-hand Previews at JAEPO 2018

Picking up from last week, with only one week away from JAEPO 2018, it is high time they announce what new songs will be playable in a first-hand preview on the exhibiting cabinets. And they did.

New Songs: February 10~11 2018 (Blue ver. JAEPO 2018 Preview)
 Hero NEW!
   安室奈美恵 Namie Amuro
ダンシング・ヒーロー (Eat You Up) Dancing Hero (Eat You Up) NEW!
   荻野目洋子 Youko Oginome
 Hope NEW!
安室奈美恵 Namie Amuro / 「ワンピース」より One Piece
 POP TEAM EPIC NEW!
   TVアニメ「ポプテピピック」より Pop Team Epic
YouTubeテーマソング YouTube Theme Song Arcade debut
   HIKAKIN & SEIKIN
スプラトゥーン2 メドレー Splatoon 2 Medley NEW!

Of course, current Yellow ver. picks (minus some) can also be played on there too. But technically you are paying JAEPO admission plus long waiting times just to avoid the cost of a credit, for an existing experience that probably don't let you record on your Donder profile... eh, it's your call.

Like last time, we have a few more Twitter Snippets we'd like to attach with today's post, especially regarding one of the above new songs.

PS4-1 Update - Because It's Fourties: CoroCoro Comic 40th Anniversary Pack

Taiko no Tatsujin has been close with CoroCoro Comic for some longest time, and of course in their 40th Anniversary celebrations, Don-chan and Kat-chan will have to join in with new downloadable content on the latest console release:

コロコロコミック40周年記念パック CoroCoro Comic 40th Anniversary Commemoration Pack (Free, 2018/02/15~03/31)
コロコロコミック40周年のうた CoroCoro Comic 40th Anniversary Song NEW!
Full Body: コロコロコミック CoroCoro Comic
Petit-chara: コロドラゴン CoroDragon

Before that though, Session de Dodon ga Don will be featured on the show floors of Next-gen World Hobby Fair '18 Winter in late January through early February as part of BNEI's exhibition line-up. CoroCoro Comic 40th Anniversary Song can also be played first-hand.

Meanwhile, especially if you have missed the Taiko Team in person for some time now, Masubuchi has made a guest appearance on the official CoroCoro Channel for the world premier of the Oni notechart against the host. And yes, this will be our First Video on this.

Twitter Snippets (August 4 2017): Snarky Granny Intrudes (further)

Now that the previously-exclusive Sukatto Bachan no Uta will be seeing general Japan-wide inclusion soon, the special Yellow ver. cabinets at Odaiba Minna no Yume-tairiku 2017 event needs something else for the collaboration with Tsukai TV Sukatto Japan. So that's why starting tomorrow (August 5 2017) those cabinets will be adding the exclusive Sukatto Janken that is used in the small rock-paper-scissors segment in the show.

In addition, if you are of high-caliber Taiko no Tatsujin skills, you can be eternally (read: until the event ends) celebrated on the whiteboard leaderboards for everyone with the event's day-ticket to see.

First Video: The Eight-fold Tokaigi Surprise

8OROCHI (read: Yamata no Orochi) REDALiCE (957? notes on ★10 Oni)
Like VICTORIA to WCS2016, the third Tenkaichi Otogesai closed with an exclusive tune at the finals (unlike VICTORIA though it was not Full-Comboed on the spot). And if KUSANAGI is part of the God Collection, why won't the monster than birthed it be too?

Other pick-ups from JAEPO and Tokaigi:
  • Now that Tenkaichi Otogesai 3 is done, DokuLO Candy♡ and Masakari Blade will be made available to all Taiko no Tatsujin Red ver. cabinets tomorrow (2017/02/12). [Japan] [Asia] (Did you know? Masakari Blade is inspired by the Kintaro myth and would be likely in the God Collection like 8OROCHI too, had it not been imported from SDVX)
  • According to Donder Hiroba, song removals at Yellow ver. release (2017/03/15):
Family Party / Kenka Joutou / Amachan Opening Theme / Flower Song / Kaze ga Fuiteiru / Polyrhythm / TRAIN-TRAIN / S / Telecastic fake show / Ichido Dake no Koi Nara / Feed A / Wake up! / Anpanman Taisou / DoReMiFa Sorairo / Zutto Zutto Tomodachi / Wonderland / Mozaik Role / Tell Your World / Funa Funa Funassyi / Pokemon Black 2/White 2
  • Textual report: Calamari Inkantation (432 notes on ★7 Oni [x])

Namco Taiko Blog (February 3 2017): Livestream Recap, JAEPO 2017 Edition

スライド2

As revealed yesterday on the livestream, the details of Taiko no Tatsujin Yellow ver. attending JAEPO 2017 next week are textually and pictorially summarized by Daifuku today.

Before all, hopefully you remember that the dates of the event (February 10-12 2017, and the 10th is business-only day) and the location (Makuhari Messe Convention Center). Most crucial of all is that the Yellow ver. cabinets are at the Bandai Namco Entertainment booth in JAEPO 2017 and not the one at Tokaigi next door!

With the basics covered, we'll meet after the jump for the actual things you can do with the exhibiting cabinets and more.

Namco Taiko Blog (September 26 2016): The Fun Never Ends with Don-chan and Puzzles

If you did not know, the BNEI Japan headquarters (Future Lab) has long since moved from the old site near Aomono-yokochou Station for over half a year already. Now that they are here at Minato's Shiba/Mita area (芝三田エリア), the company will be starting a tie-in event with shops in the nearby Keiounaka-toori Shopping Street (慶応仲通り商店街), with Don-chan as the poster model.

Breaking: Chain Chronicle TGS2016 Press Conference Reveals 2nd Taiko Collab

While, as we said, Taiko no Tatsujin is not having much to go on in this year's Tokyo Game Show, staying tuned to the Sega Booth mainly to look at Puyos originally turned out to be fruitful because Sega's mobile RPG-turned franchise plans for another collaboration.

This time around, Don-chan will be more than just a weapon and be available as a full-blown character for you to do (whatever you do in Chain Chronicle). On the Taiko no Tatsujin front, AC0 Red ver. and iOS/Android Plus STH will feature new Chain Chronicle music to play to. The two-way collaboration will come in about Autumn 2016.

Taiko no Tatsujin at TGS2016

...actually not much really. Taiko no Tatsujin Dokodon Mystery Adventure (3DS3) is the main Taiko game showing on the floors this year with trial plays, with a stage event at 11:50-12:20 on September 18 at the Family Game Park (not livestreamed). Taiko no Tatsujin Plus/STH is also present with just video clips.

In the meantime, look at Taiko no Tatsujin making a cameo as a booth (2:13-2:17) at the fictional PlayStation Matsuri alongside Overwatch and Final Fantasy. This came out of the Sony PlayStation Press Conference. Thanks LefaLefa for the tip-off!

Alright I'll be looking at the Sega Booth for their new Puyo game then kthxbai
