Japan's Golden Week is drawing closer once more, but this time it's not coming without a quick update from the Taiko Team on Taiko stuff! Expect a trove of new playable licensed content coming to your nearest (Japanese) Nijiiro Arcade, starting April 20th.

It's one song for everyone, but four more the day earlier in Japan! What's equal for all, however, is that Bandai Namco arcade support for the Mobile Wallet (おサイフケータイ) feature will be dropped everywhere, also affecting Taiko cabs from June 2nd. Game data from each MW account, however, can still be carried over into a Bandai Namco Passport (the ongoing naming for the more-known Banapassport Card); click here in order to find out how (in Japanese).

The Crunchiest Start Dash Campaign Replacement
Also from April 20th everywhere, every Nijiiro player with their ongoing card-compatible-Taiko-save data a-la Banapassport will be able to enjoy the Start Dash campaign renewal that was teased in the previous livestream, now going by the name of Crunchy Rewards Aplenty Campaign (ごほうびザクザクキャンペーン).

With no set expiration date, a set reward is given upon the first arcade play of the day for each player, capping out rewards for everyone not skipping a day from April 20th to the very end of July 2022. The offered rewards range from customization parts to songs, from returning, currently-unavailable-to-unlock treats to a brand new set of unlockables from Taiko past, including (but not limited to!) a quartet of returning songs from the arcade scene that have already been revealed in the past livesteam: Maow, Neko Kujira, ON SAY GO SAY and SORA-V Cosmic Bird.

Etou's Special News Corner
In quite the unusual manner, the ongoing Taiko Team leader has took off a portion of today's blog entry to make a future-content announcement of his own, for you see... there's no two without three!

For the third year in a row, an official Taiko no Tatsujin original song recruitment contest is brewing, picking up exactly from where last year's tourney-heated spirit left off. Once again, talents from all over the world will be welcome to put themselves into the fore, while also sporting for the first time a "Taiko no Tatsujin First Recruitment Frame" winners pool to draw from, in order to award those who've been inspired by Taiko music to craft something truly marvelous, but that actually never made it into the series thus far! All the pertaining details and more will be unveiled in the future.
