umhmwr (UUUM + Himawari)Thanks to a year-start request by Yoshiko Yips, we're back inside the UUUM-hole with another content creator ensemble from the online-oriented talent agency's roster. The HIMAWARI Channel (HIMAWARIちゃんねる; Twitter) is one of the oldest affiliates to Internet sensation HIKAKIN's JP-oriented content creator network, opening its digital gates on YouTube on April 2014. This is a channel devoted to family-friendly content that both children and parents could enjoy, with its young hosts Ma-chan (まーちゃん) and O-chan (おーちゃん) tackling subjects that are dear to children such as going outside in recreation facilities (parks, zoos and the likes), Japanese festivities, snacks and media like Anpanman and Yokai Watch.
From time to time, the two hosts are also joined by several members of the Himawari family, including elder siblings and direct relatives, with which both additional YT channels and songs are released under the UUUM label; among their more popular tunes lies HIMAWARI HAPPY, originally uploaded on August 20th in 2019 and counting more than 10 million views to this day! For the track, the Himawari Channel hosts are credited as Sayu and Mina, with their dad (credited as 'Dad', too!) joining the fun.
Joining the series as a DLC new entry for the Nintendo Switch's UUUM-flavored DLC pack, HIMAWARI HAPPY was also one of the preview songs from Nijiiro that was made playable at JAEPO '20 before the ongoing arcade model's public launch. It's an easy and cluster-less romp as expectable from the Oni star rating, but mind the BPM gearing-down action at the end in order not to fess up your accuracy play on this piece!
