Last year's technical issues concerning Nijiiro Version's AI Battle Performance mode has led to the adoption of a new unherd-of-before original songs trio to replace the original unlockable tunes for the mode, as one pesky bug led the first trilogy of mode-gated unlocks to be available for everyone from the very first matchup! And so, replacing wonderful ROUTINE as the 250-victories unlock is this curiously-titled song, marking the series debut of some new names as addressed earlier.
Being backed up by the guitar skills of Takanori Goto (後藤貴徳) of many a Namco Original fame beforehand (Hibike! Taiko no Tatsujin and Yuugao no Kimi among these), Mitsuhiro Kitadani (北谷光浩, Twitter) is the composer and lyricist for this piece, as well as sharing with Goto the standing status of a NAMCO SOUNDS ongoing inhouse musician. Kitadani's works as of late mostly linger around the Idolm@ster series' spinoffs, in flavor of both music remixes and original tracks, such as Seisai Stepper and PROUST EFFECT.
Our vocalist, on the other hand, is the nick-named Luschka (ルシュカ; Twitter, Voicy) of the Blanchehor Music label agency. Since 2008, Lushka has been posting online vocal covers of popular tracks from both Vocaloid tunes and popular movie/Anime series as a side-hobby, when in 2010 she started being employed by several label agencies, under which she released two albums of original music as well as providing music for many a soundtrack project from several series, including Kuro Kouchi and Tokyo Ghoul √A. From her profile description on the personal Voicy profile, we also know that she even is the host of a Japanese TV program -English Masnaba Night (英語をまなばナイト)- in which she teaches the English language!
True to the Greek-rooted mouthful that is the title of Tetra (=4) Rhythmos (=rhythm) Phobia (=fear), this is a song where no regular 4-beat stanzas are to be found! Sure, it's not one of your usual speed demons we're used to when it comes to 10-star Oni tracks as of late with plenty of empty stanzas to rest on in, but the blend of tempo signatures in clusters is sure to keep busy a good chunk of top-star first-timers' attempts. At its best, the note density in the quickest note clusters matches the commonplace mood of Oni food chain leaders like poxei◆DOON, with the same note density/time peak of 33.33 hits/second!
