Much like cross-rhythm-gaming artist Sakuzyo's Namco Original debut was for 2020, this year's very first song is an Oni-rating-topping Namco Original that made its debut as a Saturday arcade track. It's also the first one among the Faith Creation contest winners to pop up in such a fashion, too!
Seigaitten (lit. 'Heavenly Star River') is brought us by the nicknamed D-D-Dice (打打だいず; Twitter, Soundcloud); whom social media bios refer to as 'a mysterious artist' who has moved his first musical steps in 2020. SueP of the Taiko Team's board of judges from the FC competition highly praised the piece for leaving such a strong first impression, with instrumental and synth merging that keeps up a strong pace while never feeling boring. Up to this day, while D-D-Dice himself states he has made 'about 3 songs' in his bio, only two of them are currently available at the public, with the latter being his submission to 2020's BMS OF FIGHTERS contest edition that goes by the title of Hi-Fi-Story.
D-D-Dice himself on Twitter (link) has stated how Seigaitten received some tweaks for its official Taiko-playable debut, following the lead of form CF-winning champions of the past. What didn't change, however, was the aggressive difficulty pace that easily fits the bill for a high-pressure Oni chart; if the 1/16 cluster barrage with the occasional 1/24 spikes aren't enough to throw you off course, perhaps the latter chart harf's devilish handswitching shenanigans between even-note clusters might do the trick!
