Taiko no Tatsujin x Puzzle and Dragons Z
The collaboration between Taiko no Tatsujin and the Puzzle & Dragons franchise does not stop at the hit iOS puzzler, and now extends to its first console game on 3DS! There's a lot in store for players on both sides.
As mentioned several times earlier, the theme song of Puzzle & Dragons Z, Sakasama Sekai (), will be playable on both the current arcade, Momoiro, and added as a free DLC song on Taiko Wii U. It'll expire on Momoiro this June, and will be taken down from the list of available songs for Wii U a month later. In addition to that, a Don-chan full-body costume of P&DZ's white dragon mascot, Syrup, will also be available for arcade and console! The banner below shows Syrup on the right side.
There's a Taiko surprise for Puzzle & Dragons Z players too. A Taiko no Tatsujin dungeon is hidden in the game just like on the smartphone, and to unlock it, players would need to get a Drop Code from either Taiko Momoiro or using the SpotPass feature on Taiko Wii U.
Once players get their Drop Code, using Puzzle and Dragons Z, they should talk to a person named Mika in the Ranger Department of Zed City. Scan the Drop Code using the camera feature of the Nintendo 3DS to get a Taiko no Tatsujin painting. Show this painting to a shrine mistress in Zed City named Kokoro, to gain access to the special dungeon.
The dungeon is free for life, and you can access it as many times as you want. Have fun!
