The latest game from Bandai Namco's lucky idol-raising franchise to get some Taiko representation is the browser-based Shiny Colors, which is about to turn 1 year old this coming April. As one of its idol units is the main focus of the upcoming collaborative effort, let's see what's about one of said unit's image songs!

Hikari no destination ('lit. Destination of Light') is performed in the HTML5 Idolm@ster game by the illumination STARS act, consisting of Hiori Kazano (CV: Reina Kondou), Mano Sakuragi (CV: Hitomi Sekine) and Meguru Hachimiya (CV: Mayu Mineda). The song was composed by Akihiro Yamaguchi (山口観弘) and lyricised by Saori Kodama (こだまさおり), with a long version for it getting released on July 4th, 2018 on the 2nd album in the BRILLI@NT WING album series: THE IDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS BRILLI@NT WING 02 Hikari no destination.

It's also worth mentioning how lyricist Saori Kodama is someone who already had some music game-related credits on Bemani fields, once for the GITADORA song Yasashisa no Riyuu (優しさの理由) and in another istance for the Anime-related song SUPER∞STREAM, which got ported to the jubeat series later on (link).

In quite the aftermath-flavored curious turn of events, Hikari no destination has managed to become the very first Idolm@ster song in Taiko gaming to receive the series perma-deletion treatment during the Nijiiro Version arcade regimen, leaving behind quite the note-heavy 7* challenge to bite the dust from any official Taiko title to date.
