Random: Don-chan plush in UFO machine

This guy is lucky. Not only did he find a UFO machine with a huge pile of cute little Don-chan and Kat-chan plushies in them, but he managed to get one! Not by picking one up, but knocking the upright one over into the dispenser!

Cute little bugger isn't he?

Namco Taiko Blog (19 April 2012) - Taiko 0 costume contest

No, this isn't an art contest to see who can make the best new costume for Don-chan to wear (we have hundreds of those in art gallery sites on the net already), but something on a more small scale.

So what is it about then? Players are invited to take a picture of their Don-chan on Taiko no Tatsujin 0, with the colors they use and the costume they're wearing, and post them on Taiko Team's Twitter account (@taiko_team) for the producers to see, and the best costumes will be featured on next week's blog entry! There's no prize involved; this is all just for fun.

Runs from today to April 26th 2012. You can change your costumes on Donder Hiroba before taking your picture!

Taiko 0: 3.13 live update post

Another update for the latest arcade means another bunch of new songs! Besides all the new features already mentioned in last week's Taiko Blog entry, five new songs have joined Taiko 0's roster:

• J-Pop song 365 Nichi no Love Story, by Sonar Pocket
• Anime songs Busters Let's Go! and Let's go! Smile Precure, from the Sentai and Precure shows
• Game Music songs Extreme MGG and Music Revolver, from Taito's Music Gun!Gun! 2

Since not everything has been revealed yet about the new songs, today's post will be updated until videos and ratings of the new songs are being unveiled. 11 updates and counting!

Tales of the Abyss for Taiko 3DS

From the same magazine someone spotted Tales of the Abyss in a screenshot, bringing the current total song count to 24. If you haven't heard it yet, it's a repeat song, originating from Taiko Wii 4.

Song of the Week! 14 April 2012

It's been a really long time since our last Namco Original pick, isn't it? This week's feature should please our most hardcore of fans.

Taiko no Tatsujin 3DS songlist confirmation

The reason I was hesitant to update the current songlist of Taiko 3DS was because of the absence of something like this. Pure photographic proof. Looks like everything checks out; we have 23 songs announced so far in various genres, except obviously Game Music and Namco Original, which are always kept under a tight lock-and-key until much later. The total number of songs? No absolute value announced this time, just a vague 'over 50 songs' statement, slightly more than the DS Taikos.

Oh, and the Kusudama Note from Taiko 0 is indeed brought over. Wonder if there are any 3DS-specific gimmick notes?

365 Nichi no Love Story first video

Together with the latest Kikyoku song, another fresh J-Pop hit is being featured in PSP DX's download packs, once again with slow patterns.

Despite the title, 365 Nichi no Love Story's 6* Oni mode has 345 notes.
