Exactly at Midnight (the +1 GMT flavor at least), we're already getting official word regarding the previously-disclosed new port for the second Taiko no Tatsujin game on Nintendo Switch. As it turns out, however, ... it won't be for PC users alone!
Not only personal computer users will be able to enjoy the subscription-fueled experience everywhere (hosted on Steam, as well!), but this later port is also set to grace the other major console manufacturers in the scene at the same time: Sony's PlayStation 5 and Microsoft's Xbox Series X|S! This later reissuing of the game will sport some changes from the original Nintendo Switch version, most prominently being 120 FPS support and a few new licensed game music picks being put in place of some Nintendo-centric ones in the base game:

The game will have most of the features as the original on Nintendo Switch (including Taiko Music Pass subscription, DLC support and Run! Ninja Dojo mode), with only Dondoko Fitness being obviously absent likely thanks to its heavy affinity to the Furi-furi Performance style.
HORI is also releasing two new models of "Taiko and Bachi" drum peripheral in support of the expansion, to be sold separately. One with a white bottom for PS4, PS5 and Windows PC, and one with a black bottom for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC.
Donderful/Rhythm Festival will launch to these new platforms in about 3 months, on November 7th. The demo for the original game is already available in all applicable platforms' online store pages, so you can already get an appetizer of what 120 FPS in home systems/PC Taiko gaming feels like, for the first time outside of the game centers!
If you decide to purchase, you might want to act fast; the first physical printing and all digital preorders on the new platforms will come with the bonus new DLC pack Namco Game Music Pack.

Please note that all tracks in these collections are already available in the Taiko Music Pass subscription and as individual DLCs, so you might want to think hard about whether the extra cost is worth it.
