At the 8th day of the 8th month in this (multiple-of)8th year, Etou and 'No-11' Kimizu regale us with another blog entry made of things to look back both from Taiko past and the coming month with it.
-) New Ranking Dojo Gaiden Courses
Considering the conclusion of the Taiko World Championship 2024, the arcade staff wanted to let later players relive the surrounding Ranking Dojo grounds owith some of the main courses that were live during the earlier 2013 edition (that is to say, under the Taiko no Tatsujin Red Version firmware's tenure) by reviving three of its upper-echelon courses!
Thus, the Taiko-0-generation firmware's Kurouto, Meijin and Chojin courses have been revived on toe as Ranking Dojo Gaiden trials as part of the "Reprint/Resurrection!" Gaiden series, complete with a trio of more-approachable variants with looser clear completion criteria for each as separate courses (as part of the "Challenge! The Road to xxxxx" series of trials). Whether you're just starting out to achieve arcade greatness or you want to remember which songs were among the cabinet top dogs around these times, reliving those memories is now easier than ever! Quick access to the new Gaiden trials is also granted via their dedicated QR codes from the arcade's official website, as usual (click here!).
-) Mid-September's Taiko no Tatsujin Livestream Broadcast!
One week shy from the next turn of the season (September 14th), we'll also get to see the authors of these official Taiko blog entries in the flesh... as part of a new YouTube-streamed broadcast! No topics at hand were anticipated on today's entry, but considering how the ongoing Taiko no Tatsujin music recruitment contest is having its judge-elected winners being revealed sometime next month, it's almost safe to assume for said winners to be unveiled in this venue.
For those of you eager to take part into the reoccurring arcade-oriented open polls from the Taiko Team, this time around you got two different Quesant polls to answer to (always in Japanese): the returning "viewers' inquiries" poll to have a shot at being answered during the draw-in-the-box segments (click here) and another one to gather general feedback about the WCS 2024 tournament's Finals live event, for future reference into eventual upcoming events under a similar fashion (click here). Both polls are accepting one submission per used, from today up until August 22nd!
