Donderful Festival's Music Pass sure has quite the unusual hunt for dry-seed-related Anime music sensations to get licensed ports hasn'tit? Two years ago it was for Mixed Nuts, whereas last month it was the turn for a couple of literal Creepy Nuts to receive the Taiko treatment as a subscription-first treat, courtesy of one comedy-oriented manga series whose Anime run has ended by the start of Spring this year. The allitteration-friendly Bling-Bang-Bang-Born comes from the composing-lyricist duo of DJ Matsunaga (DJ松永) and R-Shitei (R-指定), finding their first Platinum-worthy accolade via the catchy Jersey Club piece that was made for the second season of Mashle: Magic and Muscles (マッシュル-MASHLE-), an A-1 Pictures-produced series based on the 18-tankobon-spanning manga run by the same name from mangaka Hajime Komoto (甲本 一).

This lighthearted comedy in a magic-dominating setup has for protagonist a man without an ounce of magic flowing in his own body -Mash Burnedead- who is still set on attending the Easton Magic Academy in order to receive the rank of 'Divine Visionary' and reconcile with his adoptive father, relying on his brute strength alone to survive in this magic-rooted quest of his. Serialized on Jump Comics for three years, the series received a two-seasons Anime project that ended on March 2024, only to me teasing another unannounced project for the already-ended manga run. Novels and stage plays of the story have also been concocted, the latest of which being currently scheduled to be performed before Q3 2024's end! The legacy of Bling-Bang-Bang-Born could also warrant long legs by itself in the ongoing years, considering the viral dance its music video has popularized across Tiktok and other tangential SNS platforms, leading to Creepy Nuts' first Platinum certifications on both digital downloads and online-playback streaming.

Taiko-charting-wise, this is an interesting speciment to digress upon for the ongoing 8* Oni landscape. Really backbeat-heavy with Kat-dominant clusters a-la Many Wow Bang Ura, but with a more lively tempo to sustain its general pace with drum hits and peppered with quick Don note couples a-la Theme of Alexander just to throw a wrench onto performance perfectionists' tracks. As intimidating as it may appear, however, most beat stanzas after he halfaway point of the mid-length clusters are mirrored a bunch of times, so memorization skills might come in handy!
