Taiko Wii U update post

And so, ... here we are again. All the unlocks and updates about the incoming Wii U Taiko game will be posted under this post. As updates are flowing really fast, don't forget to periodically check this post during this week!

47 updates and counting.

47. First video for the Ura Oni modes of Shokou ~Dawn~ (8* Oni; 614 notes) and Jinpuumaru (9* Oni; 659 notes) on Nicovideo. With that said, this update post is officially closed!
46. All of Taiko Wii U's unlockable content has been revealed, thus completing the last few spaces in the unlock page. As such, Taiko Wii U's songlist has been updated with all the Ura unlocks and Taiko Wii U's stamp album page is now complete and online on this blog, for who wants a little help to clear the 100 in-game achievements.

45. The final Drum Counter unlock is another brand new Ura! Jinpuumaru, the last song for Taiko 0's first firmware build, acquires another layer of difficulty after reaching the 999.999-hit milestone. This Ura mode is rated 9*, while the new Kikyoku song's Ura mode is an 8* Oni.
44. Thanks to wikihouse and to Taiko Wii U's Miiverse users, we have additional infos about further Ura unlocks! These will be added together with the previously-revealed Ura modes both in the songlist and the unlock list soon:

750.000 Haryu
765.765 Nightmare Survivor
800.000 Ao no Senritsu
850.000 Shokou ~Dawn~
876.876 Diamond Happy

Boy, that new Ura mode took quite a while for its reveal!
43. Further details about the Sorairo Version soundtrack have been revealed via Twitter posts! Click here to learn more. (credit to tetsutaro for the find!)
42. Due to the huge amount of content being revealed this week and the consequent update schedule all over the blog, the Song of the Week feature takes a break for today and will return next Saturday. However, be sure to check out the new entries for the Medley and Kikyoku series in this blog!
41. First HQ video of Taiko Wii U's ending video/staff roll. Instead of having a semi-cinematic cutscene like in the past Wii games, we have the theme song played in a fictional Play session, with Taiko caricatures of the staff members (with some of the ones which were featured in a Taiko Team interview earlier this week) as custom dancers!
40. Etude Op. 10-4's Ura unlock has been confirmed on Wii U, after reaching the 600.000-hit milestone in the Drum Counter.
-----------------^ November 23, 2013 ^-----------------------------
39. The partial unlock guide for Taiko Wii U is online on Taiko Time! Once we get the full list of the Stamp Album achievements (and related unlocks), we'll add the missing infos on said page, such as the unlockable Ura modes. Don't worry though- we're working on Taiko Wii U's Stamp Album page for this blog, too!
38. The unlocking of Zero no Nocturne's Ura mode has been confirmed! 500.000 hits in the Drum Counter are required for its unlock.
37. Oni mode is available since the game's beginning, as this first-play video shows. (thanks, NintenDaan!)
36. Courtesy of tetsutaro, we have the translation of Soroban 2000's morse codes on Taiko Wii U! As usual, you can find them, alongside the other past codes, in this page.
35. Confirmed the unlocks of the Ura modes for Senbonzakura and Kimi no Akari by reaching respectively 200.000 and 300.000 hits in the Drum Counter. This couple and the already-known DLC Uras will be added in the main songlist soon.

34. With the first HQ video of Pastel Sealane (9* Oni and 850 notes), we finally got all the videos of the currently-known new songs for Taiko Wii U! All the videos have been added to the game's songlist page.
33. Today we have another trio of new blog posts from the Taiko Team! Check them out with this link.
32. Video of Soroban 2000's morse codes on Taiko Wii U. I wonder what is the message this time!
31. It's Taiko Wii U's release day! Also, happy birthday to aquabluu/pikaby, one of this blog's admins!

30. HQ recording of Electric Postman, 8* Oni with 566 notes. Lovely chart, and the music and title give off a very heavy Hey Mr. Professor vibe, though this is personal opinion.
29. HQ recording of Theme of Alexander, 8* Oni with 644 notes. Sounds very much like an anime song. Probably the first song to include 1/24 (or is it 1/32?) 2-note clusters and then followed by the regular 1/16 stuff.
28. First LQ recording of Pastel Sealane, Taiko Wii U's new unlockable Game Music. 9 stars, 850 notes and tons of 1/24 clusters for its Oni mode!
27. Video of Taiko Wii U's Overture X. Indeed, this is a different cut from the other versions!
26. First video of Atsumare☆Taiko Matsuri!, Taiko Wii U's theme song. Its 7* Oni has 411 notes.
25. First video of the Pokemon X/Y medley. The track features the game's main theme, the Wild Pokemon Encounter music and the After-catch tune. Its 7* Oni has 509 notes.
24. HD videos incoming! All the new songs from the J-Pop genre (+ DLC) and some other tunes are already reported with some HQ recordings, which are already added into Taiko Wii U's songlist page. Be sure to stop by!
23. First videos of Ne~e Oshiete (7* Oni with 404 notes) and Robot Rock'n'Roll (6* Oni with 500 notes).
22. Invader Invader's star ratings are 3/4/6/6. Still, no videos for the song are available yet!
21. As in Japan it's already passed the Midnight, the first batch of DLC songs has been released! According to several users, both Sanpo and Cruel Angel's Thesis come with their Ura modes as well.
20. The Youtube user who posted the two previous videos has also posted another video about a partial look to the Wii U game's tracklist, revealing the last few difficulty sets for the default songs. These star ratings will be updated in the songlist page soon.
19. First video of Usagi no Shippo, one of the new NO songs which requires to be unlocked in the game. Its 7* Oni mode has 521 notes.
18. First video of Oshiete Kumatomo (2/3/5/8). It has 665 notes and tons of clusters!
17. Taiko Wii U videos are starting to cross the Internet! We begin with the Oni mode of Shokou ~Dawn~, which is rated 7* and has 527 notes.
16. Ura modes have been finally unlocked by the 2ch user! Turns out each of the game's Ura challenges has to be unlocked individually by gathering a LOT of hits in the Drum Counter. Except for the 200k Ura goal, the following Drum Counter values are almost 100%-confirmed to unlock the following Ura variants:

200.000 Senbonzakura
300.000 Ao no Senritsu
400.000 Diamond Happy
500.000 Zero no Nocturne
600.000 Haryu
700.000 Etude Op.10-4
800.000 Shokou ~Dawn~
900.000 Kimi no Akari
999.999 Nightmare Survivor

For the record, two additional costumes are unlocked by reaching respectively 765.000 and 876.000 hits; however, their names are still unknown. Proved to be fake.
15. Taiko Wii U's songlist page has been updated with yesterday's unlock reveals. Please note that star ratings of older songs are still pending until we get the updated rating in the game.
-----------------^ November 20, 2013 ^-----------------------------
14. Two hundred plays unlock the new Game Music Pastel Sealane (5/7/8/9), from Namco's 1987 arcade isometric shooter game Blazer. 70/70
13. Zeami's Purple Rose Fusion is unlocked after 100 plays. 69/70
12. Another couple of new songs is being unlocked with higher playcounts, with Theme of Alexander (アレキサンダーのテーマ) (4/5/8/8) unlocked after 70 plays and Electric Postman (エレクトリック・ポストマン) (3/5/6/8) unlocked after 80 plays. Photo evidence below! 68/70

87.600 X-DAY 2000

Oddly enough, Ura modes aren't unlocked by reaching the 99.999 hit milestone, unlike the previous Wii games. 65/70
9. Judging from the snapshot below, it looks like we are getting a different cut of the Overture X, as the Oni note-count is higher than the other versions both in the past Taiko Wii game and in the arcades.
8. Cycle of Rebirth, Taiko PSP DX's boss song, is unlocked with a Drum Counter of 50.000 hits or more. 61/70
7. Another couple of brand new Namco Original tunes is unlocked by multiple plays! Ne~e Oshiete (ねぇ教えて) (4/5/6/7) is unlocked after 40 plays, while Robot Rock'n'Roll (ロボットロケンロー☆ ) (4/4/4/6) needs 10 plays more in order to be unlocked. Evidence pictures below! 60/70
6. A new Namco Original is being unlocked after 20 plays, named Usagi no Shippo (うさぎのしっぽ). Star ratings for the song are 3/4/5/7, according to the picture below. 58/70
5. Flower Song's star ratings are 2/3/5/5. Still no videos nor Oni Max Combo infos.
