Namco Taiko Blog (20 August 2013): Taiko Sorairo Game Version 6.07

It's not Thursday yet, but the team's week-long break is finally over and there is work to be done! Namely, another update for Taiko Sorairo to add in the second batch of tournament songs.

We'll cover the tournament songs later, but there's a few more that should come first. First off, a brand new J-Pop song, Nijiiro no Sensou (虹色の戦争), from the band Sekai no Owari (lit. end of the world....wow). Difficulty stars as listed below are 3/5/5/6.

Next up is another promotional song being brought to the public arcade. No it's not the Touhou songs (yet), it's Walking Through The Towers from Puzzle & Dragons, finally on an arcade permanently! This song has special graphics and dancers for itself.

Playing this song will also earn you a costume of one of the starter monsters, and mascot of the game, Tyrra.

There are five more songs, and these are the CreoFUGA Namco Originals! These will be used for the Area Challenge which starts next week. They are:

-D's Adventure Note, which we saw last week
-Oozora to Taiko no Odori (大空と太鼓の踊り)
-Tsundere Cafe e Youkoso☆ (ツンデレCafeへようこそ☆)
-DEBSTEP!
-Yozakura Braiders (夜櫻ブレヰダアズ)

The difficulty stars are shown above. D's Adventure Note and DEBSTEP! are both 10* Oni, and the remainder are at 9*. Fitting challenge for the second leg of the tourney!

...A few of the screenshots here are blurred out. Wonder what song it is that they're keeping a secret from us? A screenshot on Twitter shows this blurred out title to be Yuugen no Ran, the mystery Namco Original that had been missing since it was first spotted on a promotional poster for Taiko Katsu-Don to promote the Donchare feature, but was never released.

Back to the CreoFUGA songs, each of them have titles to be unlocked if you Full Combo them on either Muzukashii or Oni difficulty during the course of the Area Challenge.

ピアノ弾きの冒険者 / Piano-playing Adventurer
アイリッシュドンだー / Irish Donder
ツンデレCafeの常連 / Tsudere Cafe Frequent
重量級ステッパー / Deep Stepper
参りますッ! / Set out we shall!

One more minor thing: the artist name for Aisowarai used to be ちはる ver. 9.1.7. It will be changed to かねこちはる (Kaneko Chiharu) upon updating.

That's it. Phew, that was a lot of stuff introduced for the arcade again! This update for Game Version 6.07 will be live next week on August 27, 2013. Stay tuned!
