Namco Taiko Blog (2021/05/17): The Peachy Side of the Moon: Momoiro Clover Z Collaboration

In celebration of Taiko no Tatsujin's 20th Anniversary, the "Weekend Heroines" idol group Momoiro Clover Z are back for another tie-in campaign with Taiko no Tatsujin after the first one in Momoiro ver. (2013), and this time "heroines" means more than one aspect!

The campaign begins today (2021/05/17), which happens to be the group's 13th Anniversary as well. Outside of a congratulatory video by the four current members, the main meat of the campaign is the addition of two tracks going to all three current games:

The first of the two, Tsuki'iro Chainon, has already been made available in Nijiiro ver. (default tracklist, Japan only), Nintendo Switch Version (individual paid DLC, 150 yen+tax) and Plus Shinkyoku Tori Houdai (Gakkyoku Tori Houdai subscription).

While currently undated, the second track is a renewed rendition of the group's classic Saraba, Itoshiki Kanashimi-tachi Yo from their new album "ZZ's II" (read as "double zeds two"). While it is not returning to the latest generation arcade, it will make an appearance in Nintendo Switch Version (paid DLC) and Plus Shinkyoku Tori Houdai (Gakkyoku Tori Houdai subscription).

[NS1] Animated in Unknown Parallels: Nintendo Switch Version's May 2021 DLC

Nintendo Switch Version's May 2021 DLC addition is moved to the later half of the month, releasing on May 17. The selection features the keystone vocal piece in Frozen 2, the second of the Taiko de Time Travel project, and the four-track Late Night Anime Pack Vol.3 (深夜アニメパックVol.3) trying to pry attention from the PS4 version.

We can only speculate the reason behind such sudden removals without notice, but our best guess is to let its authors to repost their creations elsewhere for use without contractual restraints of sorts, which is likely to be the case for composer Silentroom posting his contest entry 9876734123 on his own YouTube account.

Thus, seeing how this situation might be occurring abong the latest competition's tunes as well, we kindly advice you to go listening through all entries before the final results are announced, so that you've had a taste of everything its contestants have to offer before some of their picks might disappear from this digital listing, even if it might be a temporary situation to let their creators to share their craft elsewhere in the aftermath.
