Earlier in this ending week, this year's edition of the Taiko no Tatsujin music recruitment contest has seen the public reveal of all the eligible contest entries! I sure might have something suitable for the same orbit, for today...

220Parroting the decades-old saying "not every superhero wears a cape", not every contest-winning tune on Taiko shores dons the mark of a Bandai Namco-hosted competition! Today's showcased song, in fact, is the lone "Taiko no Tatsujin Award" winner to come out of a Internet Co.Ltd-hosted event from last year, made so to commemorate the VOCALOID6 engine release of the ZOLA PROJECT and galaco voice banks. Conversely, this means this is the most up-to-date the Taiko series has been on the implementation of up-to-date Vocaloid voice banks yet!
This 'Paradise' of a CASINO GALAXY! has been the first playable song outing in the series for the VOCALOID3-generation-borne galaco (ギャラ子), sporting a portmanteau name for the English 'galaxy' and the Japanese 'child' (=ko, 子). Design and naming for this Vocaloid are tied in to the inception of a fictional music unit by the name of galaxias!, starring Vocalo-producing viterans DECO*27 and TeddyLoid and voice actress Kou Shibasaki (柴咲 コウ), whose voice will end up serving as the base for galaco's very own. Curiously enough, this Vocaloid was originally launched as a contest reward for the VOCALOID Shop on August 5th, 2012, getting an 'updated' public release on the same day two years later as "galaco NEO", with the Stardust Music. company collaborating for a revised rendition of the original YAMAHA-developed base. Always on August 5th in 2024, galaco got an updated VOCALOID6 voice bank in two different versions (BLACK and WHITE), always with Kou Shibasaki as her voice supplier.
Fetching not only the Taiko-related award but also another couple of accolades from the same contest (the galaco award and the MarineFM Award), the galaco-BLACK-powered Rakuen CASINO GALAXY! got a simultaneous Nijiiro and Taiko Music Pass release, bringing to a more modern audience the same joys and chills a swing-based charting job a-la Off Rock (recharted) can give, without going beyond the note-couples approack like Pops darling Egao ni Kanpai! from yesteryears. While the name of the winning tune's composer is on plain sight, the same can't be said for the nicknamed Sho (Farthest) [将(Farthest)], the individual behind the guitar play for the song.
