Question 5

  A. 3
  B. 286

Question 7
For each part, identify the track being played on these screenshots.
(We are not reproducing the screenshots and choices here; please refer to the question post for them)

7b.
Answer: B. The screenshot shows the beginning of the last chorus of the Oni notechart of Roki under 1.5× scroll speed.

7c.
Answer: D. One of the rare times that we don't use the Oni notechart for a screenshot quiz, this screenshot shows the Muzukashii notechart of Byoushin o Kamu, as the first track in the Third Kyu (三級) trial of Nijiiro 2021 Ranking Dojo. The other choices are also used in Third Kyu trials of Ranking Dojo in Nijiiro ver. (either 2020 or 2021), but the Pops genre and the goals should give good hints.

7d.

  B. Seigaitten Oni

Question 8
Which of the following video game characters is the ace? (yes, this has something to do with Taiko no Tatsujin)

Answer: D. Partial scans of the original patent application can be found in articles on the Asobimotto column of Bandai Namco, including this about five games back in their patent application days and an exclusive interview with Taiko Team members both past and current. It is also hinted at on the loading screen of Nijiiro ver.'s AI Battle Performance mode.

Question 10
For each part, you will be given a partially completed appearance summary table like the ones we use for our Song of the Week columns. Identify the missing information in the designated blank ([???*], with an asterisk and colored red).
(We are not reproducing the SotW tables and choices here; please refer to the question post for them)

10a.
Answer: C. It is directly taken from the actual Song of the Week feature of KING a few months back.

10b.
Answer: B. The track is Angel Dream (the Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls version). While Hopes and Dreams and Kabukimono, Maki-tooru! also has 694 notes on Oni, only the Derem@s Angel Dream is put in the Anime genre in Nijiiro ver.

10c.
Answer: D. The track is The Impression That I Get, exclusive to only the two versions of English-dubbed Taiko Drum Master. The genre for this track in the TDM games is "Pop" (no -s), instead of the "Pops" (ポップス) in modern Taiko games.

10d.
Answer: A. The track is Colorful, being the only ★10 track with a 739-note count on Oni.

Question 11
We are NOT confirming the existence of 1STPAI, but assuming that this purported recording of 1STPAI is real only for the purpose of this question. With the exception of Requiem from Dies Irae, which of the following Taiko no Tatsujin games contain part(s) of the recording?
  A. Taiko no Tatsujin 13 (AC13)
  B. Meccha! Taiko no Tatsujin 7-tsu no Shima no Daibouken (DS2)
  C. Taiko no Tatsujin Nintendo Switch Version (NS1)
  D. Taiko no Tatsujin Wii Chou-goukaban (Wii5)

Answer: D. The "yo-yo-yo-yo" vocalization during Requiem from Dies Irae part is also included in the fast forward/rewind noise in Training, Tsumami-kui and Tokkun modes. Our previous feature showed some examples of us and Donders playing with the noise by slowing it down significantly.

[RUMOR] - A Patent-Filled Dual Drumming Bout

Quite silently at the month's beginning, a couple of US trademarks have been filled out for what appear to be a couple of new downloadable Taiko no Tatsujin titles, both being listed in the WIPO Global Brand Database. The news only started to spread a few days ago while also touching other news media outletsw (Final Weapon among these) up to finally landing to our eyes and sharing the finding with our fellow readerbase.

Given how much we've waited the last time for a patent-filled Taiko title to become a real game, when are these going to be dropped, if by chance we just found ourselves the localized titles for the next official drumming experiences?
