Last week, a new Taiko-related trademark has been registered by Bandai Namco for proprietary usage in Europe, through its publishing at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO)'s website. This time around, the name registered is Taiko no Tatsujin Pop Tap Beat, a name which does not directly tie in a former Japanese Taiko game release's title but that might just as well be the wannabe localized title for a former title to be released outside of the Asian continent (perhaps one of the 3DS/iPhone/Android games?).
As this is the only concrete piece we can talk about this tentative entry into the series, everything else -tentative game release included- falls under the speculative field right now. Considering, however, the end result of a similar trademark-spotting action from last year, a tentative game release for the Old Lady is a path that has not to be entirely thrown out of the window, either...
