Namco Taiko Blog (November 11th, 2021) - Sharks and Bunnies and Take It Easy, Oh My!

Just like why any clickbait-y title worth their salt is being put for for, only delving into today's post will actually find out what's the link with all the things on the title for the next Nijiiro Version update, going live November 17th in Japan and the day after overseas. And then some more...

Global BanG Dream! players, be afraid- there's a new rhythm game player coasting by for the infamous Baby Shark song to sink its teeth on! Alongside it are one of the latest flower-powered hits as well as an Ura Oni challenge for one of the Touhou Project arrange transplants of foreign music gaming soil of a few months back.

And speaking about the Internet-popular curtain fire series...

-) Touhou Project x Taiko no Tatsujin Collaboration Campaign 2021

Rather that starting around the Autumn Reitaisai like usual, the returning arcade collaboration campaign is going to start on all regions one day after the next Nijiiro Version update, while also lasting a bit longer than former forays (up until January 16th, 2022). As you can see from the grid above, Beat Mario's Usatei is making its Taiko debut with the campaign's start, too!

No new customizable elements for Banapassport players are joining the cumulative pool from the past years, obtainable at random by using tickets earned by playing Touhou arrangments on a credit play. However, the returning Tickets Tottery (3 tickets per try) is returning in order to let people win one of the four Petit Charas in stock, starring the palette swap models for Hakurei Reimu and Marisa Kirisame, Yukkuri Reimu from last year and -for the first time- Yukkuri Marisa!

It bears repeating, but both Japanese and General Asia Banapassport players can take part of the lottery of this edition, as well as the regular Petit Chara and Title Parts gachas. Go check out the campaign's dedicated website to find out more!

-) Taiko no Tatsujin's Next Livestream Broadcast

Simul-cast shenanigans with Etou, Kimizu and possibly others from the Taiko Team are upon us once more, in a Hour-and-a-Half livestream that is scheduled to occur on December 11th at 6pm (Japan time). The livestream's link will be posted at a later date.

For this one, the Taiko Team is also open to answer some questions about the development of the arcade version(s)! If you're fluent in Japanese and have a thirst for game center knowledge, you can send your inquiry through the online questionnaire module that is also posted in the original blog entry (or also here). If the hosts like your inquiry enough for the live-reply treatment, it does not have to be a Taiko no Tatsujin arcade question either- both hosts seems to be really keen on talking about special dishes and their favorite seasonings, after all!
