[RANDOM] - The End of CreoFUGA

Home of Taiko no Tatsujin's very first music-making competitions, the contest-oriented song sharing website CreoFUGA.net is about to shut down its door for good, with a news post signaling so to its users. It will be possible to browse the website and listen to its songs up until June 30th, 2020; after which everything will be gone for good.

Super Taiko 3D Deka (26/02/16)

While not being choke-full of content like most of 2015's broadcasts, this year's first Taiko Team livestream session sure had some aces up on its sleeves, in forms of artist cameos (...sort of) and some surprises along the way, all packaged with the usual degree of cheese of the broadcasting series.

Enough filling your eyes with big-sounding words! Here's what happened during the last Friday.

Twitter Snippets (27 February 2016) - Taiko's Tokaigi 2016 Preparations on Nicovideo

Want to hear in advance how the first batch Creofuga '15 contest winners will sound like in their definitive form? Courtesy of the Taiko Team's efforts, now you can! Since yesterday, videos of the six songs that will be available to try are available on both Bandai Namco's Nicovideo channel (linked above) and on their JP Youtube counterpart.

From these videos, we can already tell some name changes on both songs and artists, as follows:
  • M-O-T-U's winning song will be spelled as SstTAarR*, and will give credit to the use of Hatsune Miku's voice in its subtitle (M-O-T-U feat. Hatsune Miku);
  • The same fate will occur to Onigiri wa Doko Kashira's subtitle that, predictably enough, will display Yomii feat. Hatsune Miku as its artist;
  • Finally, Chouzetsu-Gikoukei Shoujo will have as its subtitle the name of the fictional unit behind the song, rather than just the main composer/singer Nekomirin: Nekokaburi Cyclone (ねこかぶりサイクロン); as the videos do credit to, this alias stands for the combined efforts of Nekomirin and xi, an independent composer who gained popularity in the last few years due to multiple contributions on many rhythm games (the latest of which for the 2nd Tenkaichi Otogesai tournament).
Also being shared by the Team today are the links to the Tokaigi live broadcast on Nicovideo for both Saturday and Sunday, already advertising the contribution of Japanese "let's play" groups such as M.S.S. Project among others for some live challenges. Both live broadcasts will start at 11 am (Japan time).

Namco Taiko Blog (24 December 2015) - A Look Back, Then Two Steps Forward

For Eto's final 2015 Taiko Blog update, we got a handy reminder of all the exciting arcade-related content that is going to be introduced between today and 2016's good part of the first half. Among the topics remembers we already knew about are White Version's first update (live today!) and the Love Live!/Synchronica collaborations starting with it, as well as January 2016's monthly unlocks.

What's new for the post, however, is the official awarding of the 14 winners from the latest Taiko-related CreoFuga contest. By heading to the Results page, it's also possible to hear the judges' thoughts on the winners, together with their Honorable Mentions.

Between this entry and the already-announced Taiko Team hiatus, that's the last we'll hear of them this year. See you in January 7th, 2016!

Voting at WCS2016 Song Contest II - The Hiroba Wars

banner

Thanks for everyone who voted in the first part of the public vote! Now to determine the one and only Donders' Choice we move our battlefield (?) to Donder Hiroba, where you vote with your credits from today to October 25!

Every registered Donder Hiroba user can have at most five (5) votes, the first of which is given for free to all. To get the other four, play on Murasaki ver. with your Banapassport-connected account and you will get one ticket per credit.

Now with your ticket(s), you can check out the list of songs up for choosing. Clicking the title will take you to its Creofuga page where you can listen and read the artist comments. When you are sure which song the vote should go to, click the corresponding Vote (投票する) button. If you have a Twitter profile linked to the Donder Hiroba account, you can have it tweet out your vote on the way too!

Twitter Snippets (13 July 2015) - Taiko Team's CreoFuga Hall of Fame!

The next CreoFuga music-making contest isn't already active, yet the Taiko Team feels the need of tributing some of the past winners' feats in the series! This year's CF song-making contest now has a special Hall of Fame sub-page, listing the most-recurrent people who started making songs for the Taiko no Tatsujin series from one of the past CF contests, also featuring interviews towards the beginning of this year's contest.

So far, the Hall of Fame consists of five big names: Harunaba, Ryuitty, MOES, bona and Kaneko Chiharu. The only interview available at this point is Harunaba's, but the other ones will follow in a few weeks. Stay tuned for quick translations of these!

The 15th Anniversary Livestream Extravaganza (28/06/15)

Fifteen years ago, a humble new rhythm game made by Namco was sent to arcades nationwide in Japan. It wasn't very good at first, but it had a strong niche; using a traditional Japanese music instrument in a more contemporary setting, and of course, the overall cute and colorful vibe.

Fifteen years after that fateful event, the Taiko no Tatsujin games still prove to be strongly popular and worthy of huge events in order to celebrate its success, and last Thursday's livestream was here to be the front-runner for some of the biggest deals in 2015 and beyond. It's finally time to spill the beans and find out what the livestream was fully about!

September 2013 was a really great month for Taiko aficionados, and it ends really well with yesterday's Nicovideo/UStream broadcast by the Taiko Team, and this handy blog post is here to sum it up.

Namco Taiko Blog (12 September 2013) - Details about September's UStream session

As previously mentioned, today's Taiko Team blog entry isn't about the freshly-announced Taiko Wii U (although it's being acknowledged on the Taiko Donder page, as the game's website is now active), but it's instead focused once more in the arcade department... or something like that. The third and final UStream session about the tournament song's live note-charting is going to be aired soon, and here's what you have to know about the event.
