One Piece 100th Volume Commemoration Collab (Japan only)
With serialization beginning in 1997, the One Piece comic will soon reach its 100th volume. Taiko no Tatsujin, knowing the franchise since 2003 with the anime opening Hikari e (ヒカリへ) in AC5, has to join in with the celebrations with a collaboration campaign.
The 100th volume of One Piece will have a special bar code printed on the back cover. From 2021/09/03 onwards, you can scan that bar code with Nijiiro ver.'s Code Reader to unlock special collaborative elements in two phases:
- Phase 1 (2021/09/03~10/19): Luffy Petit-chara
- Phase 2 (2021/10/20~11/30): "Battle with a certain character from the Wano Country Arc"

Ranking Dojo 2021 (Part Two of Two)
Those who have already conquered Tenth Dan of Ranking Dojo 2021 released three months back should warm their bachi-wielding muscles back up for this update, when the latter half of this year's Ranking Dojo opens its doors to all locales on 2021/09/08 with all five series-debut Namco Original joining the fray.

Further Note-entry Stability Tweaks
The 120fps response rate can be a blessing and a curse at the same time: many Donders have experienced a major shift in the play-feel across the 3rd and 4th generations that is hard to adjust to.
As part of continuous efforts to better the Donder experience, the Taiko Team has identified further room for improvement on note-entry stability since the last series of tweaks, and this update will implement the proposed changes. The Taiko Team will continue to look out for Donder feedback on social media after the update to further these efforts.
