Advanced Notes (Ura)
Normal Notes (Ura)

It's not the first time we're talking about BlackY in greater length among these Saturday lines (link), thanks to the first commissioned Namco Original of his that has dispelt the bad mojo formerly gathered over unsuccesful entries in some of the older song contests for Taiko no Tatsujin making. As time rolled by, however, the artist's later endeavors among were proven to be highly succesful with not one, but two different tracks in a row of his getting greenlit by the Taiko Team judges! The second of these is coming up next Monday and just with the previous song-election success history for the black-nicknamed artist, it couldn't have been possible without the help of another creative talent...

The one artist in question is Risa Yuzuki (柚木梨沙; Twitter; official website; YouTube), in activity since 2014 as a songwriter and live performer. Born February 16th and often going by the "YuzuRisa" nickname, her talent agency range extends in greater lengths than just song-making-related content, as she also performed as a live stage actress as well as VA for several Anime series, including Commandant Clark and one of the Tenchi Muyo! series' OVAs. Since December 2019, she's the holder of her own doujin label (Luminaria) and has been supplying her experience as a lyricist to both commercial parties as well as tracks for music gaming purposes, being an avid rhythm game and cosplay fan herself. In recent times, she even started out her own career as a digital Vsinger/Vtuber as well!

Risa Yuzuki's name has started getting some traction from bemani gaming's SOUND VOLTEX, scoring many an appearance between custom song arrangements/remixes (Toumeina Kioku no Kazaana; SHION -sublimation mix-) and original songs (Harutsuge Kochou; Gimme dreamin'), something that would also go appreciated in other arcade mainstays such as beatmania IIDX (Kirigen Memoria) and maimai (Starry Colors). She even got her own share in mobile gaming, between the now-defunct Seven's Code (Crimsonate and Replayer among many) and lowiro's Arcaea, where the song Löschen came to be thanks to yet another BlackY/YuzuRisa song contest winning hit in 2021. Among the Taiko contest's judges, Emma's introduction into Taiko gaming was given by none other than Etou, caliming it to be a tailor-fit track for such a tournament-inspired song contest. You can tell how the song is prime material for point-avid players and those who want to execute a cool Taiko performance alike, and the Taiko Team leader acknoledged the very same for this track's acceptance speech!

Despite the aggressively-high BPM peak, this track's Oni mode is a rather straightforward average challenge with mostly mono-color clusters, something that has become somewhat of an inside meme for memes after this post's original posting date, clamoring for a potential for harder charts on this one song... well. About three years have passed since then and apparently the Taiko Team's answer was "don't just have one harder chart- have three of those!" and Emma's Ura Oni setting was shipped at last with a Buto-songs-styled branching system. Don't touch that starting drumroll for a natural 1/16 progression of the regular Oni's mono-1/16s approach, stress it just a little to have an initial tasting of 1/24s splicing on the Advanced route and really pound that yellow bar for the 4-digits-donning drum beating of an Emma lifetime on the Master route!
