Song of the Week! 10 April 2021

This ending week sure had a bunch of newcoming 8-star Oni drops, ...not even this very day's debuting song is an exception to such a rating streak!

Vocaloid artists making their debut in Taiko through a Namco Original tune sure is not a new trend, one that even juggernaut names of the caliber of cosmo@BouSouP could not escape from. Most of these, however, involved either/both the blonde-haired Kagamine twins, with the peppy Tell Me Beat marking its maker's debut in the former camp's territory.

The lower-caps-nicknamed kinoshita (キノシタ) is an independent Vocaloid song producer in activity since July 2016, being proficient as a song-maker as well as an illustrator for his own works' official music videos. His tunes primarily gravitate around three Vocaloid voice banks: Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin and the VOCALOID4-series debutant Otomachi Una (音街ウナ), with the latter two often being used together for several Hall of Fame-status releases and his first (and so far, only) Hall of Legend contribution with Poppin' Candy☆Fever!, scoring alone over 5 million views on YouTube!

Today's series newcomer appears to be somewhat related (a sequel, mabe?) to one of kinoshita's 2020 songs starring Kagamine Rin: August 23rd's Tell Me Answer (テルミーアンサー), whose tagline in the video description states: "If you grow up and learn all the answers, you want to be a kid again". Perhaps the links will become stronger once that Tell Me Beat itself's official MV will be live...

For the time being, however, we're treated with one speedster of an 8* chart where there's not a single idle stanza to lull by. If you also want to catch the 'Beat of Love' as also alluded to its Full Combo title unlock ('恋のビートも攻略中', "The Beat of Love is Also Captured"), mind those tricky 1/12 intermissions as well!
