Unfortunately yes, we did not use the wrong tag; the greater Asian version of the Taiko no Tatsujin arcade is NOT going into the 4th generation just yet, but at least we finally get some update after almost four months.
Announced on the official Facebook account on July 6, a new version update for Green ver. Asia ver. is to be released in early-July 2020, and we got word from the greater-Asian Donder community that it is playable as soon as today (July 8). While not a full-blown generational shift like in Japan, arcade operators will also need to apply a "Green ver. 2.0" modification kit to enact the changes.

While an update kit looks promising and all, there aren't many groundbreaking changes this time. According to the announcement, the main meat of this update is the addition of 52 songs previously not seen on greater-Asian soil, even though some 4th-generation/Nijiiro ver. debuts are included in a surprising twist. Other than that, Issho ni Waiwai Ensou and Rewards Shop will be removed, while AI Battle Performance and Ranking Dojo will be suspended. No other new functionalities are added at this point.

Note that this update does not add the Start Dash 2020 Campaign reward songs, the rest of the June 9 update and anything added afterwards. Unlockable songs from Green ver.
