[NSwitch] - The 1-Million Sales Milestone Extravaganza

A few weeks off its second release anniversary in Japan, it has been made public the announcement of the Nintendo Switch Taiko videogame managing to break over 1 million copies sold worldwide, between the physical shipments and the digital downloads. Coming alongside it are a fancy set of freebies for everyone to enjoy!

The bulk of such celebration lies on the release of the Commemorative 1 Million Breakthrough! I LOVE Game Pack (100万本突破記念! I LOVEゲームパック), a 10-piece Game Music DLC lot containing a selection of Game Music tracks from Taiko gaming past being released for free, starting July 9th. A couple of these set the "proper title/subtitle combo" record straight too, at long last!

The campaign's dedicated page on the Taiko Switch website (link) also advertises the future giveaway of custom Taiko icons to drum up your Twitter page or any social media-related profiles of your choosing!

Another feature that's going to be added in the future with an expected onset for Summer 2020 is an online eSports Tournament (eスポーツトーナメント) mode for a maximum of 8 players. Like the existing Online Ranking Match mode, Shin'uchi scoring rule is mandatory and one specific difficulty across the group. Even if you lost, you can watch on through the Spectator Mode (観戦モード) and gives hearts to cheer on either (or both) players.
