Believe it or not, today's Saturday song has something in common with the Song Series Showcase that got posted earlier in the day; for you see, ... In roughly ten days, Zero is also going to be the number of official Taiko games housing today's pick (at least, as of this post's original posting date)!

Namco Original Showcase: Zero Songs

The 'Zero' cycle of Namco Original star composer Kyoko 'kyo' Miyakura (宮倉恭子) and the nicknamed Sariya-jin (サリヤ人) for a collection of Taiko-original tracks that wouldn't shy too far off from giant-robot Anime opening themes with a modern spin on, with additional support from Takanori Goto (後藤貴徳) for the guitar lead and Masanobu Murakami (村上正信) for the track-down process of all tracks.

Another key element of this series lies on each of the songs' titles, all starring the title-dropper zero as well as a different style of musical composition for each of the songs. No matter what style you're going to read for their titles, however, the outcome from this artist ensemble is always going to be a rock-styled track!

Just when I was about to pen about the nth perma-removal among the Taiko series' licensed song pool, here comes one sudden weekend warrior that raises its head out of nowhere! Come greet it with us today!

First Video: bad guy and DDU-DU DDU-DU

Despite the title, bad guy (cover to Billie Eilish) is not a bad ★7, with a healthy mix of different triplet patterns on a medium speed. Watch out on the one BPM change towards the end though.

DDU-DU DDU-DU (cover to BLACKPINK), on the other hand, is the harder pick of the day despite the lower notecount, especially with the longer 12th streams and hanging offbeat singles just before the bridge.
