If you look at the Electric Postman lyrics post earlier today, you might have already caught on with the scope. But yes, it is from a contributor other than the usual pikaby or Lokamp!
The name's nigelliusnitrox. You might also know me as tetsutaro from previous Made By You features. I approached pikaby a few days back about taking up a job as a contributor here, and he swiftly agreed and set me up. Taiko Time has been my home for a lot - if not all - of my Taiko news, and it is great to be able to help out around.
Being a quick update post, I am going to keep the details down. (I have heard of this elusive staff interview, maybe in the future...?) Thanks again to pikaby and the staff for giving me a chance to do what I love right here. See you in the coming posts!

Random: Taiko Momoiro Dojo Ranking perfect run
Slow news day? Not for the score-attackers who have access to Momoiro; a screenshot of an absolute perfect run on the Tatsujin course in Dojo Ranking was posted somewhere on Plurk (and shared to us by crystal). A truly superhuman feat!
Tatsujin course involves playing three songs in a row: Hatsune Miku no Shoushitsu -Gekijouban- (Ura), Hurtling Boys and then Shimedore 2000. Getting a full combo on each of them is no small feat, let alone playing all three perfectly.

Mahou no Kissaten on Taiko Momoiro (International)

Many players from Taiwan have reported that the past April 1st has seen the coming of two new songs: Kidaruma 2000 and Mahou no Kissaten, last month's Don Challenge prize for regular Momoiro arcades. While the prank 2000 song disappeared the day after, Kaori Aihara's new song still figures in the arcades' songlist.
Once again, credit for this information and the image above go to the Facebook Jubeat Taiwan fanpage!

Namco Taiko Blog (3 April 2014): NicoNico Stream on April 11th: More details
The Taiko Team has mentioned streaming live on Nicovideo before next week, regarding the major Touhou collaboration with Taiko no Tatsujin for the Hakurei Shrine Festival this year, and of course, the hotly-anticipated Game Music Traingle collaboration with Maimai GreeN Plus and Groove Coaster! Here's some more details for the upcoming event.
The stream will start 7pm Japan time at this link, and will last about 2 to 3 hours (my word, that's a long stream!).
Besides the main entries of the two gigantic collabs, Taiko Team will also use the time to announce the winners of the 3rd Taiko HD costume contest, for those who have sent their entries in. Expect a small prize for the winners like a new title or having their costume on the blog and on a wallpaper creation.
There will also be a small section with statistics (yay more graphs!), but instead of the Dojo Ranking, it'll show which titles and title parts are the most popularly used by players. Expect the basic, easily-obtainable ones to show up a lot! Interaction will be done with the players to come up with new ideas for title parts too.
Lastly, there will be a free talk time at the end of the stream for viewers to air whatever opinions or suggestions or comments on the franchise, its games, or even talk about Etou. The main aim is so the team will know how to make the game more fun for everyone.
See you at the stream!

Twitter Snippets (1 April 2014) - Taiko no Tatsujin Kidaruma Version DX

The 'year 2765' shenanigans continue this year with a new curious announcement from the Taiko Team. As you can see from the reconstruction image above, one of Momoiro Version's future, scheduled firmware builds will be called the Kidaruma Version DX, and the until-now Taiko 13 exclusive song Kidaruma 2000 has been made playable for today only, in order to celebrate with anyone the good news.
While -of course- the future firmware release is yet another prank for the April Fools' day, the new song for Momoiro arcades is actually a real, legit thing! Videos like this one below testify this unexpected gift as well:
