Keigetsu Production Update: Notechart Preview and 3rd Community Poll

Together with the 2025/07/04 preview trailer to mainland China 4th-gen Autumn 2025 season, Morikawa and Etou from the Taiko Team drops new production updates on Keigetsu (桂月), the upcoming new entry to the Kikyoku/Seasons of Asia series.

The updates are also posted in more languages to the Asia ver. official Facebook fan page the next day (2025/07/05), with alternate YouTube and Questant links for those who cannot access the mainland China links.

First of all we shall conclude the 2nd community poll about the notechart direction for a small part just before the chorus. The majority of respondents have chosen "balance between melody and rhythm", with "melody first" being a close second.

It is at this point that Etou feels appropriate to confirm that Keigetsu will have an Ura Oni notechart, just like all predecessors in the series. With that in mind, the final notechart direction for the concerned mind is as follows:
  • Regular Oni: general balance between melody and rhythm, but melody takes more precedence (notechart preview video embedded above)
  • Ura Oni: explores rhythm and non-melody elements above the general balance

Continuing with the theme of community participation for Keigetsu, you are invited to participate in the 3rd community poll on these two new prompts:
  • Notechart direction for the chorus, whether to be "melody first", "rhythm first" or "balance between melody and rhythm". A free-form response box is also available for your other ideas. To help you decide, take a listen to a 25-second sample of the part, as well as a melody-boosted version and a rhythm-boosted version.
  • Full Combo title for Oni difficulty. You can respond in all the supported languages, but non-Japanese responses may be translated and/or modified. A free-form response box is also available if you want to provide additional context.
The poll is available in five languages for you to pick:
