Now here's something you don't see every day: a videogame theme song that bears the same title of the belonging videogame! RHYTHM CONNECT comes from the hands of newcoming BNSI composer and recurrent SOUNDS ON! livestream host/planner Yukiko Miyagi (宮城裕紀子; Twxtter), already responsible for several tracks in Soulcalibur VI as well as Namco Original Genkai Creator Ouenka from Nijiiro Version's first years. While the composition and lyrics are all her own, the helping hand of familiar BanNam music veterans helped bringing the whole project to fruition, with Yano Yoshito (矢野義人) and Takanori Goro (後藤貴徳) handling respectively the general arrangement and guitar playing with final track down duties from Masanobu Murakami (村上正信).
The 'TRIANGLE' singers quoted in the credit stand for three different persons altogether: Azusa 'AZN' Shibuya (澁谷梓希) who's already part of the Bandai Namco Denonbu project as Minato Shirokane Girls School's Haijima Ginka and a couple of prominent voice actresses: Mia Sakurai (櫻井海亜) and Saki Yamashita (山北早紀), a member from the VA/idol hybrid unit i☆Ris. The distribution of the RHYTHM CONNECT song has started as soon as the app's prerelease version was distributed in select Asian app stores in early August, with a video of the playable cut that shows off the stylish jacket art to be displayed ingame, choke-full of subtle Taiko nods within it. With the fresh announcement of the November 1st app update as the 'official release day' across Asian countries as a whole, the song's full version you can spot on top was distributed at the same time, with coreographic dancing devised by the Powerpuff Boys (パワーパフボーイズ). This video also plays out in abridged form when the song is played on Rhythm Connect since 'official launch' day and is currently one of four Namco-Originals-only songs (Tell Me Beat is only counted as Vocaloid in RC!) to have such a privilege, alongside Audio de Ka!, Suki ni Riyuu wa Iranai Jan! and Roppon no Bara to Sai no Uta.
Following the vocal lead is the easiest way to get in the groove of this mobile-spawn tune, with patterns sitting confortable as the halfaway point between the Ura charts of Many Wow Bang!: many backbeats, sure, but not that much in terms of crazy-long clusters.
