No it's not paid DLC info for once; Taiko no Tatsujin Nintendo Switch Version will receive the Version 1.2.2 Update on February 12 (about 10:00 JPT).
Aside from unspecified stability improvements are some significant tweaks to the Online Ranking Match mode:
- Addition of Reward Missions (ごほうびミッション): complete the missions within the time limit for rewards
- Addition of Greetings (あいさつ) as a customization option
- Change of ranking scope: only those who have played Online Ranking Match within the last two weeks will be ranked
