First Video: BLUE SAPPHIRE and Undertale Songs

New console game DLC shipment, for the joy of Anime and Game Music fans! The age-regressed detective's Taiko legacy has reached a new first, as the latest playable Detective Conan song can boast an Ura Oni variant. Be it for a slow-scrolling chart with plain 1/4 patterns or 1/16 clusters with slight 1/12 tempo intermissions, BLUE SAPPHIRE has got you covered on both fronts!

After the jump are the Undertale songs, which we remind you are also bound to come to the PS4 Taiko game's DLC catalog in the near future.

Tauriel's fight theme plays out on Taiko fields like a more forgiving, easier take on Metal Hawk BGM1's Oni mode, in that both have complex 1/12 clusters as one of their main distinguishing traits.

For a slightly more upbeat challenge, here's one of Undertale's final fight themes with a relentless barrage of 1/12-based clusters and single notes! Forked-path play is also available for each mode, bearing quite the delightful surprise for fans of the indie RPG game...

Hopes and Dreams on all difficulties has one route-changing portion, and by performing a pacifist song run not hitting anything before the fork you'll be able to switch into Advanced Route and see multiple sets of 7-note clusters. With Dons as 0s and Kats as 1s, these clusters can be interpreted as 7-bit, ASCII-coded messages, giving out a differrent line from the game as a result, and even including the leading asterisk just like in the source game.

While we wait for the Advanced-Route videos with the notechart passages in question, we leave here the messages currently unveiled for the four difficulties:

Kantan: But it refused.
Futsuu: You held on to your hopes...
Muzukashii: You think about why you're here now...
Oni: Through DETERMINATION, the dream become true.

Among today's newcomers, the one bearing the highest-rated Oni mode is MEGALOVANIA, Sans' battle theme and former future-peek Song of the Week candidate. It plays on its high speed in a similar way to other GM picks in the likes of Venomous (regular Oni) and DR.WILY STAGE 1, with the added perk of a middle portion littered with lots of short drumroll-enticing special notes.
