V Version Update: Trial Stations!

In case you are still on the fence about V Version after the launch, try it on July 9 at Games Maya (Kasai, Tokyo) and July 11 at WonderGOO (Oosu, Nagoya)!

Taiko no Tatsujin Plus - Gakkyoku Tori Houdai songs

The Gakkyoku Tori Houdai (楽曲取り放題) subscription system has been added to Taiko Plus on June 25th 2015, together with the game's update to Version 3.0.0. This subscription model allows users to play a wide selection of songs from the already-released song packs -together with some exclusive tracks- for a limited amount of time, with all the difficulty settings normally available for each song. So far, it's possible to be subscribed to the system for one week, one month or three months, at the price of 250/500/1400 Yen respectively.

Below you'll be able to find a complete rundown of the songs which are available for the Gakkyoku Tori Houdai service, sorted by release date. Songs in bold are exclusive to the subscription service on their launch date. Ura Oni mode is available for all the compatible songs.

V Version Update: DLC Packs Galore!

For the last pre-release website update, the first monthly DLC song packs are being unveiled, as well as the identity of the previously-teased songs from cryptic tweets earlier this week. Are you ready?

Taiko Plus: New Songs for Gakkyoku Tori Houdai

New songs already, only one week into the inaugural release? If this keeps on that selection will be astounding in no time! Anyway, July 1st sees three new songs added to the new subscription model:

Across Japan: July Facebook Tournament

The middle of the year calls for a middle of a monthly tournament! Oni will use the brand new (to Asia) Shugaku Travelers (8★) and Muzukashii will use Help me, ERINNNNNN!! (7★) in July's Facebook Tournament, running from July 4~12 and results to be announced July 15.

The recent flood of Taiko awesomeness of early summer days makes quite difficult for us to cover everything, especially when big news like this one flies by during the 15th Anniversary celebration's beginnings! We humbly apologize for the lack of timely reporting for the piece of news you're about to read, but we hope you'll enyoy the read...

...especially because there's something to be joyful about: a second Tenkaichi Otogesai tournament is in the works! As of today, the AOU organizators are not ready to reveal when the tourney will begin and which arcade series will affect, but it's very likely that Taiko no Tatsujin will return this year once more.

Even if the tweet asks us to wait until late August for further details, we come to know another interesting bit of news through another tweet being posted after the previous one...

In a surprising turn of events, the next Tenkaichi Otogesai tourney will see the publishing of a limited-edition album, featuring the songs that will be picked for the event. While these can be bought only in the AOU-conventioned arcades at a later date, the albums can be purchased both by the contestants and the general public!
