September 2013 was a really great month for Taiko aficionados, and it ends really well with yesterday's Nicovideo/UStream broadcast by the Taiko Team, and this handy blog post is here to sum it up.

Future song time! While I'm crafting the last few details of the next UStream feature on this blog, have a taste of what yesterday's live broadcasting session spawned.

New Namco Originals revealed for Taiko Wii U!

Breaking news from the new Ustream! Full coverage will be done later as I haven't personally watched the stream (Lokamp most likely has, so expect to see more about it tomorrow!).

However a section of the stream was dedicated to this new console Taiko and a portion of its default songlist was revealed.....and it contains some of the most amazing songs released this past year and then some. (the rest of the genres remain the same)

Besides the four Originals we already know (Nightmare Survivor, Boku wa Shinse, Pastel Dream and Kuon no Yoru), eight others were revealed. Red means new songs, blue means console debut.

• Atsumare Taiko Matsuri (あつまれ☆太鼓まつり！)
• Shokou ~Dawn~ (曙光 ～Dawn～) (new Kikyoku song!)
• Kimi no Akari (きみのあかり)
• Zero no Nocturne (零の夜想曲)

Taiko no Tatsujin Plus - Introducing the Popular Song Pack 13

Another freshly-released song pack awaits iPad/iPhone Taiko players. Released today, the Popular Song Pack 13 comes with the usual price of 600 Yen.

Short post for now, regarding the Mario costume we saw a week ago on a screenshot of the game. This was found on the official site by Lokamp. Nice to see both brothers getting costumes for the first time!
