Taiko no Tatsujin Wii: Ketteiban has the largest set of costumes ever in any Taiko game; more than 100 of them. Each costume is given to players for passing each song in its songlist, and is a collection of new costumes plus old ones from all previous console Taiko games.

Like its predecessor, costumes are unlocked automatically as a player clears the Story Mode, but there are a few costumes that have to be unlocked by other means.

Taiko no Tatsujin Wii costume gallery

Taiko no Tatsujin Wii's costumes are very straightforward and easy to obtain as all you have to do is play normally in Play mode and level up Don-chan to advance the story. They are not 'costumes' per se since there is no formal costume selection menu in Taiko Wii, however you can still switch between the seven forms listed below in addition to normal Don-chan after the story mode ends. Just view the story chapter where the transformation takes place!

Mekadon is not Don-chan but replaces him in Story Mode in his absence.

Taiko no Tatsujin 3DS costume list

Instead of being able to change colors for Don-chan, Taiko 3DS allows you to choose between the four different drum characters, the yellow and green ones being introduced in Taiko Wii 3. There are four sets of costumes, one set each for Don-chan, Kat-chan, Calcutta=Dondi (yellow Don) and Yomogimaru (green Don).

The costumes in each set look similar to each other with a color change or slight reskin, and each set of four is unlocked all at once (example: unlocking the Sweets costume would also unlock the Blueberry Mousse, Orange Bavarois and Green Tea Parfait costumes at the same time). However each character may only wear a costume allocated to it, eg Don-chan cannot wear any of Kat-chan's costumes.
