Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack - Katanuki

Released on September 12th, the single-disc Katanuki (かたぬき, lit. diecutting) soundtrack is the last entry in Clarice Disc's 8-album cycle of Taiko no Tatsujin soundtracks in 2018.

With its Amazon description pointing this album to be "devoted to all challengers", this Namco Original-centric release picks up (almost) all the leftover CreoFUGA tracks to be featured in an original series soundtrack beforehand, alongside several other modern Namco Original releases that range up until the first console outings on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch systems.

Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack - Baby Castella

Released on August 29th, 2018, Baby Castella is the seventh album in City Connection/Clarice's Taiko-themed album series, spotlighting a selection of original tracks from both arcade firmwares and the PlayStation 4/Nintendo Switch debut Taiko titles.

More specifically, the contents of this album are more oriented towards the female singing leads once again, ranging from other CreoFUGA artists' creation to minor tie-in projects/song series contents, such as Professor Sakamoto's Namco Original remixes and the songs starring unmo as the singer. The latter end of the album is all dedicated to the latest song additions to the Classic genre, from the second 3DS game's Dokadoka onwards.

Amazon Leak Double Whammy: Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack Baby Castella and Katanuki

Thanks to some timely notices from Taiko Discord user Deadwantsha, we now know that the product listings for the last two mini-albums in the City Connection/CLARICE Taiko soundtrack project are finally out on Amazon! Unlike last time's advance scouting efforts, however, we only know two things about the last couple of albums as of now: their title and respective release date;

• Baby Castella (ベビーカステラ, lit. sponge cake), coming out on August 29th;
• Katanuki (かたぬき, lit. diecutting), slated to a September 12th release day.

Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack - Watagashi

The Watagashi (わたがし, lit. cotton candy) soundtrack is the 6th album release in distributor City Connection/Clarice Disc's 8-parter Taiko soundtrack project. Despite the album jacket chiming back to the cover of the Taiko Rokudaime PS2 game, the album has been advertised as the bearer of the third 3DS videogame's story tracks, alongside "fluffy and amazing songs" for some "fun, storyfully and dreamy times".

This is another female-vocals-led album release for the 8-album series, with several songs made by IOSYS artists taking the center of the stage! Many other tracks from CreoFUGA artists are featured as well, with the returning inclusion of tracks from the Girls Pop Mania mini-album release.

Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack - Kaki-goori

The 5th of the City Connection/Clarice album released of the 8-fold 2018 soundtrack project, Kaki-goori (かきごおり, lit. shaved ice) features over 30 tracks that are more lenient on the full-instrumental side of the series' music, as "Ultra cool & edgy" picks (no seriously, the Amazon listing says that) instrumental and techno tracks are the album's main courses.

Translated into Taiko-related tropes, the Kaki-goori releases features the latest Namco Original offerings from NAMCO SOUNDS artists in the likes of Rio Hamamoto, steμ and Linda Ai-CUE's latest additions to the infamous 2000 Namco Originals song series. Other noteworthy additions include another selection of CreoFUGA-spawn tracks and the four Touhou Project arrangements made by NAMCO SOUNDS personalities in occasion of the first Taiko collaboration with the world of ZUN's danmaku-rooted videogame series.

Amazon Leak Double Whammy: Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack Kaki-goori and Watagashi

Searching Amazon listings gives us more preview leaks for the eight-soundtrack project from City Connection/Clarice Disc once again, and it's even a double whammy this time:

• Kaki-goori (かきごおり, lit. shaved ice) on July 25 with a 32-track lineup with "ultra cool and edgy songs centering hard instrumentals and techno styles, through NAMCO SOUNDS' Touhou Project arrangements, up to the playerbase-shocking Donkama 2000 and more"
• Watagashi (わたがし, lit. cotton candy) on August 8 with a 29-track lineup "from story mode exclusives from 3DS3 to boundlessly dreamy fun and fluffily sweet sounds"

We also have the full track listing for Kaki-goori already (see below jump), while Watagashi still has the "To be announced" veil.

Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack - Ramune

The sub-titled Ramune (ラムネ) is the 4th Taiko-related official soundtrack from 2018, as well as the mid-way point of the City Connection/Clarice Disc's 8-album collection deal about the Taiko franchise's recent history. The official description of this album mention the presence of many 'killer tunes' for the joy of high-difficulty Oni fans, alongside the works of many composers who are recurrent in other music game series.

In actuality, inside the album are enclosed groups of Namco Originals who are tied to different artists in particular, alongside other miscellaneous arcade Taiko debuts. The post-No Mai series works of Zeami/Tatsh are grouped in the Ramune soundtrack, alongside the more recent works from Yura Hatsuki, Sariya-jin, AJURIKA and t+pazolite. Like the Takoyaki album before it, this soundtrack bears no long versions of sorts.

Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack: Ramune

Thanks once again to Deadwantsha from the Taiko no Tatsujin Discord for staying ever so vigilant on the Amazon "forests" and finding that Namco has uploaded another preliminary item entry for the eight-wave soundtrack project with Clarice Disc.

The fourth soundtrack is subtitled Ramune (ラムネ), expected to release on July 11 and is said to host 31 "cool & sparkling killer tunes, centering around works from popular artists active in music games and more". That description alone should be enough for you to guess half the track list correctly, or at least which artist they mean. In fact, before you go through the skip and check the full track list, try to name as many songs you can guess and see how many you are correct.

Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack - Takoyaki

The third of the eight official Taiko albums from 2018's City Connection/Clarice Disc project is the Takoyaki (たこやき), whose official description lists "pop songs you want to hum to yourself, from console game story mode exclusives to popular Vocaloid songs and so on".

By "Vocaloid songs" the selection means less of Hall of Fame-worthy licensed hits (actually none at all), but more on past CreoFUGA contest winners and later exclusive spawns. This includes an almost complete anthology for Harunaba in Taiko no Tatsujin ever since his contest-running days. The rest of the selection features recent console debuts from Vita1, 3DS2 and WiiU2, as well as artists and creators featured in more recent Namco Originals such as You'll Melt More, Mariko Takei and Sariya-jin.

Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack: Takoyaki

Roughly one week before the first of the 8 Clarice Disc x City Connection Taiko albums's release, we already have some earliy notices about the third album's coming, thanks to yet another stray Amazon entry.

Going under the Takoyaki (たこやき) subtitle, the third of the album mini-series is being advertised a 28-track deal starring "songs that you'd want to endlessly hum to yourself", from home console Taiko games' theme songs to (ugh) (ndr: Lokamp) popular Vocaloid songs.

The album is set to a June 27th release, with its songlist's contents still unknown.

Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack - Yaki-toumorokoshi

The second of the eight official Taiko albums from 2018's City Connection/Clarice Disc project, the Yaki-toumorokoshi ('Baked Corn') soundtrack advertises itself as a bearer of "both Japanese and World Music", between arcade and console debuts.

To put things on a perspective, more songs from the CreoFUGA contests and song sequels/series continuations are enclosed in this track list, including the four Season Dragon tracks, the latest additions to the 'YMY RPG' trope and all the tracks from the Game Music Triangle collaboration project with Sega and Taito, complete with both new and returning long versions to boot.

Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack: Yaki-toumorokoshi

Golden Week is boring with most Japanese makers taking the week off, but Namco/Clarice Disc apparently left something for us, albeit probably unintended?

Found by wikihouse commenters on a stray Amazon entry, the next of the eight-soundtrack project is to be subtitled Yaki-toumorokoshi (やきとうもろこし, lit. roast corn) set for a June 13 release. The official description mentions a "wide selection across the expansive Asian soundscape" and also long versions of popular songs and arrangements from the Game Music Triangle. No jacket or track list available for now though.

Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack - Ringo-ame

Released almost 4 years since the last publicly-available commercial Taiko album, the Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtrack Ringo-ame (太鼓の達人 オリジナルサウンドトラック りんごあめ) is the first of an 8-album soundtrack plan by independent distributor Clarice Disc, the same distributor behind 2014's two mini-album releases.

According to the official description of the album, the 1-disc Ringo-ame soundtrack is choke-full of 'peppy and vivid vocal tracks' from female performers, most of which having made their series debut on either the 3DS or Wii U Taiko titles.

The Yamata no Orochi of Taiko no Tatsujin Original Soundtracks (not official name)

While the official fronts of Taiko no Tatsujin remain silent, it is from the familiar game-soundtrack publishing label Clarice Disc that we get this eight-headed scoop.

So what's the deal? Clarice Disc is setting off an eight-installment soundtrack project for Taiko no Tatsujin. Not just as small featurettes like the Sotsu Omeshiki one (2014) or the Girls Pop Mania one (2014), but full-length "legit" soundtrack albums like the Donderful/Full Combo pair (2012) standing for different themes.

The first of the eight, subtitled Ringo-ame (りんごあめ, lit. candied apple), features a tightly packed collection of peppy and vivid vocal tracks (official description) and will be released on May 30 2018. We have translated the 28-song track listing below the fold.

The soundtrack is now available for pre-order at the native Clarice Shop or on Amazon, both of which are linked in the main site of the soundtrack project.

In the ongoing, harsh climate of Taiko news drought, the Team has been eager on promoting the latest album release of one of its music-making contributors once again!

This time around it's the turn of Marine Base, who is including her Namco Original song contribution (Houkago☆Magician) in the soon-to-be-out Multitasking Girl (マルチタスクガール) album, set for a May 17th release. Will an extended version of the song be included, or is it going to be the 'regular' Taiko cut instead?

[RANDOM] - TatshMusicCircle's Latest Album

What you're seeing above is the cover art of FioRA, the latest mini-album from Tatsuya Shimizu that is going to be launched from August, after being a Comiket exclusive for a while.

Among its tracks, this small music collection will include an extended version of Music Revolver, the track that has left traces of its passage in Taito's music game franchises and Taiko no Tatsujin. This version is going to be titled in the album as "Music Revolver -Platinum Extended-" グルーヴリボルバー -Platinum Extended-.

AkeOme!!!+SotsuOme

The AkeOme!!!+SotsuOme (アケオメ!!!＋そつおめ) album is one of the rarest collectible items from the Taiko no Tatsujin series, as it could be purchased only in occasion of the 2016 edition of Niconico's Tokaigi gaming convention. Later on, the album was re-distributed in 2017 during JAEPO and a Twitter campaign in an even more limited quantity (176 at JAEPO and up to 7 for the Twitter lottery).

The main feature of the mini-album is that each of the featured Namco Original songs's name begin with one of the letters of the album's actual name, including the + and exclamation points as well. Much like for the Sorairo Version Premium Soundtrack CD, the mini-album also features Vocal-only and Prototype versions, as the album's last 2 tracks.

First Video - Taiko Tokaigi Album's Exclusive Content

Courtesy of Youtube user N Hui (N 会), we already have video recordings of the latest limited album's extra content! Above is the voice-only version of Soroban 2000, featuring only the background dialog between the three daring challengers of the fictional Soroban 2000 quiz arcade, complete with some sound effects.

Above instead is the prototype version of Sotsu Omeshiki, the first one in the School Matters song series. Unlike previous prototype versions, this one feels more closer to a 1st time rough copy than the actually-complete song, as this one is mostly made by chiptune sounds and no lyrics.

Always from the same Youtube user, we can also confirm that !!!Chaos Time!!! is in the album as well (video), so only 4 songs are left for confirmation.
