As the records show so far, the original works on Taiko from Sho Okada are evenly split between arcade and console fronts, with the latter entirely made of Taiko Music Pass debuts. The latest of the trio is today's showcased song, with the original Japanese lettering being more prone to stylish title truncations while the official English-localized title goes for the full-form 'Stepping on the Accelerator' instead.

Portfolio-wise, much has transpired since we've first heard of this BNSI talent about four years ago, with more credited roles in compilation/remix videogame music OST releases (mainly Ace Combat, Ridge Racer and Tekken) and a few choice tracks in brand-new releases, from 2022's Survival Quiz CITY to last year's two Katamari Damacy game releases (Rolling LIVE and Once Upon A Katamari), on top of further works in the iDOLM@STER and Denonbu fields. Two years ago, he went on SNS record to reveal he had applied for one of Taiko no Tatsujin's music contests back in 2013, ultimately to no avail. Flashforward to today and here we have the same person, both as inhouse composer and as notecharter, as revealed in a past Taiko livestream (link)!

With vocals from the nicknamed valknee (X account), Steppin' on the Accel is a technical-versed notechart like nearly no other, thanks to the implementation of 'dotted 16th' note spacing, as is note stanzas that are divided in 16 beats instead of the usual 12-beat/16-beat/24-beat divisions we're used to see, named 'dotted' as each of those are spaced at 6/16 beats from each other in a sort of a dotted formation. At the default scrolling speed, this might incur into chart readability issues on your first playthroughs, so advance chart readings (and maybe performing the dotted 16th hybrid clusters as if it's part of a regular-flowing cluster) might emiliorate things on your way to a Full Combo performance! Suffice to say, however, this doesn't apply for full-accuracy hunters...
