Livestream Recap: 2025/12/14 Taiko no Tatsujin Official Livestream

At the year's final stretch, we got served with one more livestream to round up everything arcade-related in the near future, with a greater focus on the just-ended World Score @ Online tournament. Like in the past, our coverage will be a mix of our usual snaps, the Taiko Team's own recap post posted today on the official blog (see here) and a few SNS notices inbetween. Let's roll!

Taiko no Tatsujin Pop Tap Beat Ver. 1.28.0 Update

It's update reveal day, for the last time in 2025! The year for the Taiko Music Pass ends with a trio of never-playable-before tunes between old/new licenses and the yet-to-be-revealed new WADIVERSE song. Of course, I'm sure most of you are ogling the bottom of that grid down there, for obvious reasons...

Once the mystery song's name is revealed (and in case we're getting anopther brand-new Ura Oni post-TMP song deletion rounds), this post will be updated and this line will be removed.

Song of the Week! 6 December 2025

The many music contests held by Bandai Namco these past years to enrich the overall Taiko no Tatsujin song roster holds all sorts of stories across both winners and losers alike: unyielding tenacity across editions, lucky 1st-try adoptions, illustrious names eating musical dust from the winners, no-name artists unexpectedly trumping the competition and so on.

Today's tale, however, is a bit different. One that may call for outrage in the face all other songs who didn't make it but whose reasoning for that may be as plain as day. Nonetheless, it's quite odd for such a story to have its tracks covered on contest grounds, somehow...

At last, the final song for tomorrow's Taiko Music Pass update got unveiled, as the upcoming Chainsaw Man movie's opening theme IRIS OUT! It's also the first non-cover Kenshi Yonezu song in Taiko in quite a while, on top of that.

Following this release, Nijiiro Version arcades are also expected to house this song in kind, with Japanese ones getting it from December 17th.

Donderful/Rhythm Festival-versed news are being drip-fed not only on the song-reveal front this month, but also for their song pack release! The latest Kids Pack release will come in 2 days -same as the month's first Taiko Music Pass batch- with four songs, also considering the one-track Tamagotchi DLC that was released for last month's end.

In a quick segue from that, the taiko_all X feed has released the key art for the upcoming WADIVERSE chapter, slated to release this December! Marine ambiance is on the table, from the looks of it.

Not only that, two follow-up tweets have unveiled what's in store for the project in the near future:

• WADIVERSE chapters (and songs) are currently planned for three months in a row, with their key songs getting released on active Taiko titles this upcoming December 17th, on January and February 2026 (link);
• Off-vocal (instrumental) versions of all WADIVE RECORD songs -both past and upcoming- are currently in the works, with release date/distribution channels still pending (link).
