Namco Taiko Blog (October 10-16, 2025) - Taiko no Tatsujin x Touhou Project '25 Collaboration and Nijiiro's End-October update

Most of October is out of the way by now, but two blog updates were made to keep the Nijiiro scene on their toes, starting with a re-occurring collaboration campaign about preparing girls and waiting warmly...

Yes, it's that time once more: the lone new yearly arcade song arrange Touhou Project arrange collaboration is back! It's the same song and dance as of past years as well, with the new event song premiering at the Hakurei Shrine Autumn Reitaisai (happening this Sunday, on October 19th) and coming out for the general public later on, in conjunction with the collaboration campaign's beginning.

This time around, the event is set to last from October 23rd, 2025 to January 12th, 2026, starring one arrangement from the first of the "modern Windows-era engine" titles, Mountain of Faith. Unlucky Morpheus's arrangement of The Gensokyo The Gods Loved is not the only brand-new element coming out of this campaign, as Mountain of Faith-themed titleplates are also available as limited unlockable goodies.

Just like for past event editions, every Banapassport credit play in the operational period will net a ticket for unlocking one of the new title plates at random (3 tickets per pull), or any of the past pulls from former editions, be it the former title plates (3 tickets each) or Petit Charas (from 1 to 10 tickets, according to character). The 3-tickets repeatable Touhou raffle is also back, allowing 1000 lucky players to grab one of the four (still unowned, if already former winners) of Reimu and Marisa Petit Chara variants (Yukkuri and alternate clothing).

The Touhou '25 collaboration is one of the items directly related to the Nijiiro software update that is happening on October 22nd, the contents of which being disclosed in the later October 16th official blog entry.

In a nutshell, the just-described collaboration event will be anticipated by the inclusion of two Taiko-Music-Pass-debut Vocaloid hits from the past few months: DECO*27's Monitoring and jon-yakitory's Konton Boogie. Another hearty reminder was also issued for the soon-starting World Score Attack @ 2025 event, but for further details about that, we got the official website of the event (and also our post from earlier today).
