2025's first Anime-coded Song of the Week sure was one held in high-regards from the people at the helm of the Taiko franchise, considering its source material went to have two different collaboration campaigns with the arcade branch... and both in the same year, mind you!!

March is around the corner, and with quite the bountiful Taiko Music Pass share at that! Eleven tracks are slated for release next month, 5 of which are coming next Thursday.

This time around, we're graced with the third (out of four) promised consecutive songs from the all-male Strawberry Prince unit, a cover for Dandadan's opening theme and a couple of inhouse crossovers: remixes of music from the original Katamari Damacy videogame for the ongoing Denonbu music project, the first representation the series got in Taiko no Tatsujin in over FIFTEEN years! The 2023 music recruitment winners' porting project is still going strong as well, salvaging another track on outside-arcade grounds from last year's RHYTHM CONNECT end-of-service.

Let's also not forget the customary brand-new Ura to better swallow the latest Music Pass removals of today, this time around bounding back into the Vocaloid sphere. See you in two weeks for the reveal of the month's latter-half releases!

Namco Taiko Blog (February 17th, 2025) / Livestream Recap: 2024/02/16 Taiko no Tatsujin Official Livestream

...okay, that title is quite the mouthful, but that's more on the point of us doing the usual post-livestream talk in a hybrid way! Seeing how the Taiko Team is starting to offer their own broadcast recap via blog entry and considering the short length of yesterday's run, we're leeching out of the blog entry for the overall rundown, while also highlighting a few of the reveals that were left out in the official blog entry.

Following up from the first update batch, the Taiko Music Pass this month is getting another 4-songs serving in exactly a week of time from now, hell-bent on giving a 2nd home to former licenses and Namco Originals which were only available on a Taiko entry beforehand. Among these, we also have the return of Donut Hole from V Version, although this time it's the more-known GUMI version instead of the previously-featured one with producer Hachi being its singer!

Also notable is the debut of another Strawberry Prince song, the second of four tracks to come out in a bi-monthly fashion across March's Taiko Music Pass updates. See you there for the remaining couple!
