[TDM] - End of Distribution for The Drum Master

 Before our usual Saturday shenanigans, we take the time to forward on the blog what was also shared on social media (also by us, among other parties) since the start of this month. The Drum Master, the first game in the series available to both xBox systems and PCs is going to be shut down on digital outlets, effectively marking the end of distribution for the game as no physical releases for it were ever made.

Starting from the end of September 30th, it won't be possible to purchase the game on digital storefronts anymore, although redownloads of the game for those who already purchased it will still be possible. As of now, all paid DLC packs won't be discontinued for the time being, both for redownloads as well as single purchase.

[Xbox/WinPC] Pass-ing Out but Weighting In: January 2023 DLC Additions

We got an update from the official console-oriented Taiko Twitter feed about the Game Pass termination of The Drum Master we heard about a few days ago, confirming that at the wake of the next month the title would be removed and only the pre-existing digital purchase of the game would be available. That still, we got a couple of new DLC pack to talk about once more!

No dedicated official Twitter post from any of the official sources just yet, but the intel is already up on the game's official website! Perhaps, it has to do with some Lokamp-tier grid typos, I'm sure...

These are also tracks headed to every purchaser of the Taiko Beat Pass Vol.4, so here's another reminder on our part not to perform aduplicate purchase.

Just as the game is about to leave the Game Pass, also remember to purchase the game's digital version in order to use these after the Game Pass exclusion happens.

[xBox/WinPC] - The Game Pass Departure Master

Users of the xBox Game Pass service might have already caught wind of the fact that one of the most recent Taiko no Tatsujin games -The Drum Master- is one of the next titles that are leaving the subscription-based program at the end of this January, meaning that only a digital purchase of the game will allow users to enjoy it afterwards.

Much like former game deletions from the service, a 20% discount is offered to ongoing Game Pass players in order to purchase any of the soon-leaving titles, the PC-friendly Taiko game very much included. This has nothing to do about the actual game's DLC longevity for the point being, but seeing as the game is about to turn one year old, we'll have to wait for further developments on whether is this a service-discontinuation telltale sign or not.
