We're already starting with fresh releases from Nijiiro Version's just-started 5th year of tenure! Although both of these share something more beyond the fact of coming from earlier titles...

FOCUS ON version

For once across Namco Originals, we can put together a couple of songs with no artist subtitle mentions together for a number of reason that tie them together... mostly because of their makers' idea behind their creation! ProductionGIW regulars Drop (as the composer) and Yura Hatsuki (葉月ゆら, as the singer) have played around one leitmotif behind their Taiko-headed original creations for a while: to depict in music a gothic world that takes root from popular fairytales, something that can give its listeners/singers both a nostalgic feel while permeated in an aura of sadness. This has been the case of the Ps Vita-debuting Marionette Pure taking a page out of Pinocchio, as well as the Weekend-Warrior arcade-debuting CYBERgenicALICE, taking a sci-fi angle to Lewis Carrol's character and atmosphere. There's actually a third song from the GiW-affiliated duo to follow such a trend, but we'll leave it for another time. For you see, these songs are available in the latest Nijiiro cabs for another reason...

Indeed, these two are among the songs to be chosen for the Taiko no Tatsujin x Nijisanji collaboration project, with letsplaying perfromers from the company's FOCUS ON label to cover pre-existing Namco Original as separate entries for Nijiiro Version's tracklist, same notechart sets as the originals! For Marionette Pure, the vtuber of choice is Lize Helesta (リゼ・ヘルエスタ; Twxtter/YouTube), a 2019-class talent who dubs herself as "Helesta Kingdom's 2nd princess", one of the trio of Nijisanji characters to debut on the same day, as part of trio "Sanbaka" (さんばか). The cover singer for CYBERgenicALICE, on the other hand, made her debut two years later: Nei Ponto (先斗寧; Twxtter/YouTube), one of the first Nijisanji talents to come out of the ongoing VIRTUAL TALENT ACADEMY (VTA) project.

What we have here chart-wise are a couple of differently-paced tracks who treat their respective virtuosisms with the drumming vigor that only 1/16-1/24 cluster hybrids can muster. The main differences among the two, of course, are CYBERgenicALICE's higher average hit/second ratio and Marionette Pure's really trollish ending, gunning for either accurace or whole note loss right at the end with quite the tricky gradual slow-down to suss out!
