Fall's advent is upon us once more, but there's still some time left to squeeze some Summer-shaped Taiko fun with Etou and Kimizu's livestreaming antics! As usual, after the jump is our go-through the main points being touched upon, while the YT stream per-se appears right above these very lines.
First things first, a few slides were shown to recap the recent/ongoing happenings on everything Nijiiro Version-related, from August's new Ranking Dojo Gaiden courses to the still-running Idolm@ster Million Live movie tie-in event and the live event between Real Ranking Dojo outings and the Chinese Nijiiro presentations. Speaking of which, in such venue (and now to the livestream audience at large) it was revealed how another General-Asia-friendly popular license -Cyndi Wang's Love You- would bew available on Nijiiro cabs everywhere, starting from the Japanese ones on September 20th.
Another minor arcade-oriented addition is the inclusion of Sou-Uchi charts for four choice songs for singleplayer use, later this month. In other words, it will be possible for one player to drum with the pre-existing 2P charts of this quartet of 2P Uras without fitting the monetary bill of another player joining.
On top of that, the arcade-side dev team is eager to hear more about unlockable revivals for past content to be brought back, via another poll! The link to the Questant poll in question was supplied briefly after the broadcast via this tweet and will be closed on October 6th. We've already seen how choice songs have been brought back via seasonal Rewards Shop, but it appears that the available outfits for this upcoming seasonal rotation will draw upon some of the former suggestions, too!
With that out of the way, the hosts jump straight onto the 2023 Ranking Dojo's final Main Courses talk as promised! A similar approach to last year's outing is going to be taken, although with its fair share of significative changes coming by.
Once again, the end of this month will signal once more the addition of the few final RD main courses to boot, from Kuroto to Tatsujin. Just like last year, some of the newcoming songs for it will have an earlier debut as a Saturday Weekend Warrior, with the rest waiting up the trials' (still unannounced) release day.
Oh, don't you worry- they're all going to be released on September THIS year- this up here was a typo!
Below are the four newcoming songs waiting the end of it, whose first seconds were also played live on stream. As of this post's publishing date, Seifuumeigetsu's Nosferatu made its public debut just yesterday, while the others' effective release day for each is still up close to the Taiko Team's plans as of now. You can still be sure about each of these greeting players at the very end of their respective RD main course!
In an unprecedented take from last year, the "tentative song selection" for most of their respective floors got finalized on stream, as the couple of returning songs for all but Tatsujin were unveiled. Whatever order they'll go onwith or which clear/Gold clear criteria have is still for their release day, but this reveal was also shared on Twxtter for quicker evaluation, later on.
We also came to know what to expect (at least partially) of the Autumn/Fall '23 seasonal Rewards Shop lineup on the song side, unveiling that cold classics Haikei, Gakkou ni Te... and Taiko-zamurai would be coming, both songs of Ura charts of differing length and time period of the respective debuts.
The news acted as a segway for the returning "What's in the Box?" corner with Etou and Kimizu answering some previously-polled questions from the readers. This time around, however, the segment was kept incredibly short due to allotting the rest of the allotted times of matters on a different scale...
Indeed, the 4th Nijiro-era Taiko no Tatsujin music contest has had its victors unveiled at last! By admission of the same Etou on social media (link), they had to rush to make it to the heated YT live-reveal deadline of this edition, ending up with 9 different winning tunes.
Like last year's, it's all new faces behind those songs except for one (at least partially, from already-contest-winner deli) but UNLIKE last year, 2-3 among these will have their debut at the upcoming Taiko no Tatsujin World Championship 2024 tournament (of which one will be its theme song, too!)
The same bashi-clashing tournament also has its general operative window revealed as well, with Area/Group Elimination stages set from February next year and the Grand Finals in July.
As this broadcast was going low on its expected running time, we got two final ominous slices pertaining a bacground-running project that has been teased for a while on YT streams as of later: the fabled !!!Chaos Time!!! sequel.
As it turned out, this has been the beginning of a !!!Chaos Time!!! series instead, due to the promised sequel's release happening after the iconic t+pazolite NamOri receives a mashup with Touhou Project fan-favorite arrange of Cirno's Perfect Math Class. Just a few seconds of it were played, possibly because of more fitting time to talk about this in the future (like, say, the upcoming yearly Autumn Reitaisai edition...)
That's a wrap for the livestream! We couldn't end things here if not making you aware of quite the humorous socialmedia exchange between Etou and t+pazo on the song sequel project. Hopefully you'll be sticking with us, whenever it becomes a reality!
