Yesterday, a bit ahead of the start of the totally-not-suspicious Spring month, the @taiko_team Twitter handle has shared the coming of a brand new mode for ongoing arcade Taiko no Tatsujin called Aoharu no Tatsujin (青春の達人), letting arcade players enjoy Taiko gaming with a pinch of extra-curricular school dynamics on the side. Three veterans on the boys' side with Yatsushika, the Fox Kabuki Kid and a younger Wada Kiyoshi (no really, he really is this guy), alongside the relatively-new entries of Amitie and Machina from the last arcade firmwares' Battle Performance modes.
Said event is to be implemented on April 1st, 2765, but since it may be too far for some to reach on the aging aspect, by popular demand it was ported to present times ad starting from today! Scan the QR code displayed on this second tweet released at 12:00nn to unlock and use the Aoharu no Tatsujin mode until June 30th this year. Selecting this mode will randomly assign to you one of the five partners to effectively replace your Taiko drum avatar for the credit play (it will still have the same Don-Chan voice like usual, mind you).
Bandai Namco Passport (or equivalent) users will additionally be able to raise
your affinity with your school partner for every credit played. Reaching each
level unlocks one exclusive title with the character's special backplate (leaked from Donder Hiroba last month, which we also talked about it on Twitter too), plus one final endpoint title when you maxed everyone's affinity levels.

Six of the higher titles are hidden on Donder Hiroba until you reach them, so we are not listing them here for now.
That's not all - the QR code will be the only ticket for Donders to play a new Namco Original song, one which will join the default song list only after the Aoharu no Tatsujin mode's activity end. It's one of the few songs one could actually play with broken rims on a drum, but be sure not to have anything else broken by the end...
