Taiko no Tatsujin is not a stranger to collaborating with local municipalities and their mascots to promote the regions. Starting 2023/02/09, Taiko no Tatsujin Plus collaborates with Nagano Prefecture and their PR character Arukuma.

Beyond the app, physical collab goods (including gift packs and LED stick balloons) are being given out through a Twitter retweet campaign until 2023/02/19, and at the Taiko no Tatsujin Plus booth at the Nagano Toumyou Matsuri on 2023/02/11/12. Both of these are only available within Japan.

Shinano no Kuni has been added to the default song list, as well as Arukuma-inspired Taiko skin and app theme. These elements are expected to stay until 2024/02/08 (13:59 JST).
