The general Nijiiro news recap roundup is the first in order for the day, assessing once more with the viewers the already-ended Real Ranking Dojo event and the latest software update for Japanese cabs, alongside a listing of 2023's Weekend Warriors thus far.
While we're in the argument, you can put your worries to rest for the final trio of winners from Columbia Makes's latest contest, as they'll launch in the same Saturday fashion between the next two months.
Next in line is the anticipated awards ceremony of the Taiko World Championship 2023 Gaiden @Online competition, where Etou and Kimizu paid respect to the highest scorers slotted in the first 16 ranks. We even got a 1st-place-tied top podium result, so nicely done to both players!
After applying to a dedicated section of the Banapassport website, the first 5-ranked players (and both 1st-placed champions) will be mailed their certification in a white folder, also containing a transparent standee to better showcase their own triumph, as shown below with (one of) the 1st Place certificate.
Select everymen joining the fray would still end up with a surprise title unlock, most of them being unveiled during the broadcast! Not only whoever ranked in multiples of x00 have ended up with custom rainbow-plated titles to get, as a handful of them have beeing unveiled live.
From left to right: special titles for the 876th, 765th and 2023th players.
The more amusing title handout had to be the one for the "Lucky Shot" title, for which both stream hosts have taken rounds to extract single numbers from a box in order to form eight 4-digit numbers, corresponding to the ranks of the lucky winners. In the name of fairness, eight numbers were made up (2 for every 1000 rank intervals between 1-999, 1000-1999, 2000-2999 amd 3000-3999) and Kimizu and Etou had to draw the digits for four numbers each.
If you're not a fan of the digit 2, I have terrible news for you...
Up next is the longest segment of the ongoing livestream runs: drawing viewer questions out of a pre-filled box with inquiries from the previous survey to be read live on stage!
The highlight of this round is a worded reassurance from Etou that another year-start Rewards campaign is in the cards, while also extending the invitation to suggest which past rewards should be reran (click here!). Plus, would you look at that- we finally got an official name for these segments, too.
If there's some misguided gaming blog on the watch, please note that this one is NOT a citation to 1995's psychological thriller Se7en. Apparently, this may be an issue somewhere else in the Web, otherwise...
We finally land into unheard-of, future-content territory with one familiar party coming down for crossovering seconds...
The EDM-rooted Denonbu project is bound to strike the Taiko grounds once more, this upcoming March! The apparel this time is a simpler one with 5 songs getting gradually added over time, both as Nijiiro/Plus same-day debuts and as Donderful/Rhythm Festival (Music Pass) later on.
Sure enough, the hottest item at hand is a brand new song from Linda AI-CUE for both sides of the turf, with four pre-existing Denonbu tracks coming over in couples later on. Once again, they'll launch on both ongoing arcade and smartphone games first, with the latest Nintendo Switch game getting them later on.
We'll have something else to celebrate before that, as this coming Thursday the series is turning 22 years old! For the occasion, Makina from the AI Battle Performance mode is coming down from the year 2765 with her own playable song! Expect the playable debut of Yell Ex Makina! on February 21st, while you can already listen to the song on Bandai Namco's own YT channel.
The very last thing left to talk about this livestream is what has appeared at the very end, one black-clad screen card about something appearing at the last broadcasts' end. We're just leaving you with that one, looking forward to what's brewing behind the scenes!
!!!Chaos Time!!! song sequel production has started!!!
