First of all, Momoiro's new features have been described once more, continuing from the new gimmicks being announced last Thurstady and expanding the subject matter even more! The first aspect being discussed is the new Kigurumi (きぐるみ) outfit system.
At first, nothing much more has been said from the details given last Thursday, but here are some other combinations that will be possible with this 3-part clothing system!
Next up, the Donder Hiroba updates and the Taiko arcade tournament 2013's Finals. Nothing much more has been changed by last Thursday's blog posts, and the Finals's schedule will be the same one as planned: next year on June 6th, the finalists will be facing each other with 1 vs. 1 matches, where the highest score on Shin' Uchi scoring rule will decide the winner of each match.
After that, Etou booted up the Momoiro software build in order to show some of the new features, starting with a guide about how to change costume with Kigurumi.
While the Don-chan icon is the same as we are already used to, now players have an array of different options in order to choose outfit! Now players will be able to register up to three pre-set outfit combination of their choice in their Donder Hiroba account before playing. Each combination will be saved to an hanger icon, which has to be selected in the arcade in order to play with that outfit set.
The pink jacket icon is used instead to select (when unlocked) outfits by picking whole themed sets, just like in the pre-Momoiro firmware builds (for example, the Vocaloid outfits will come out complete with the related dress, wig and eyelashes).
The "Hat and Shirt" icon will allow player to pick each outfit part separately among the unlocked ones for each of the 3 categories. Which combination will be the funniest?
Last but not least, the Kigurumi system introduces a "Random Outfit" option like for the most recent Taiko console titles. The question mark button will trigger a new combination each time it's being pressed!
After selecting an outfit, it's playtime! The first song to be played is Nousou Sakuretsu (4/5/6) on Muzukashii, new new Vocaloid song with Megpoid GUMI and Hatsune Miku. With 339 notes, it's the return of the Miku combo!
After this one, Etou played one of the two new Namco Originals on Muzukashii: MOES's Tokyo Tokkyo Kyo Kyokakyoku Kyokucho!! (3/4/6) (yeah I know, it's a mouthful). With 653 notes and several note spacing changes, I wonder how hard will result to be this song's Oni mode! In the meantime, we also got the partial ratings of the new default NO song, Uso-uso Doki.
After the songs we got the usual result screens with the after-play Don Point/Title count. As you can see from the pics below, we have the names for some of the new titles!
After denying the existence of Yuugen no Ran for a joke, Etou also plays the other new Vocaloid song, titled Yi-er Fan Club (3/4/6). 392 notes for its Muzukashii mode!
After the short play session, the Taiko Team has announced a new Banapassport-related feature for the Momoiro firmware! After reaching certain amounts of Don Points, it's possible to spend them in a dedicated in-game store for new unlocks! Taiko sounds, costume parts and even new songs can be acquired by using this new feature.
Then we have a reminder of the Momoiro Clover Z campaign, with the collaboration song Momoiro Taiko Dodon-ga Bushi and new outfits coming on Momoiro soon! There is also a reminder to the Taiko Wii U contest, showing some of the prizes.
Moving on, here's a little reminder about Don Challenge on Momoiro: the feature will come back on January next year, so no trials for this month!
However, January 2014's DonChare song is a brand new tune, which has been briefly played during the live stream! You can hear this future song's small fragment here:
Before having a break, we also got a long list of arcade players who managed to reach the infamous 10-Dan challenge on Sorairo's Dojo Ranking mode, listing both who passed and who failed the trial. A lot of regular 'Don-Chan' appear, as well as someone who should probably be hanging around other rhythm game franchises...
After the break, an un-named Variety tune is being played on Oni mode, which later was proved to be Night of Knights, one of the limited songs of the past Nicovideo Super Conference 2 event. What's the meaning of this?
Well, Momoiro arcades are ahving an additional collaboration with the Tohou Project Arrange, which means that the previously-limited Night of Knights and Bad Apple!! feat. nomico will become default songs on Momoiro sometime soon.
Next, we have additional informations about the new Don Point-related unlock gimmick. As said before, Don Points are now used as in-game currency to unlock stuff. Among the Day 1 unlocks, players may even choose to spend them in order to get two fan-favourite Taiko 13 songs, Yumeiro Coaster and Kimi no Akari, which won the popularity poll of the last live stream.
The Don Points will play a role even in the new Title system! As we already know, the players's personal titles are now made by mixing up two unlocked titles with a conjunction, like in the example below:
Each of the new titles has to be paid in Don Points in order to be used! The fee is relatively small though- between 200 and 300 Don Points, according to the final title's length.
There also is a nice promotion for Donder Hiroba users: whoever will log into the Donder Hiroba's website before Momoiro Version's first software update will receive 7650 Don Points, in order to let everyone try out the new Don Point unlocking system with a little extra help!
As a little teaser to the future, Etou also stated that Momoiro's Dojo Ranking mode will award players with new outfit parts for each completed course, rather than having another upgrading costume.

After this, Nicovideo users have been asked with another poll which other old song would have been the next one to be revived just like with the previous Taiko 13 couple. After a few pair-ups, Mika Sato's Eringi no Ekubo has risen victorious from this fan poll! Unfortunately, I've been kicked away on Nicovideo during this fragment, so no picture for the polls this time.
The poll has been followed by a showcase of the prizes for the Sorairo lottery, starting from the custom Banapassport, an example of Etou's New-Year greeting card and four different models for the Good-night Don-Chan set:
Then we get... wait. What's this?
You guessed it: this paper Don-Chan is the provisional place-holder of the Sorairo Version soundtrack CD! The complete songlist is printed in the other side of the paper-cut, but we'll get a clearer image of it soon.
After celebrating the birthday of two Taiko Team members, the first part of the stream ended. Stay tuned for a fast recap of Part 2!
